Rated engine definition
Rated engine speed" of the combustion engine means the engine speed at which the engine develops its rated maximum net power as stated by the manufacturer2. The symbol nrated denotes the rated engine speed expressed in min-1.
Rated engine power" (Prated) means maximum net power of the engine or motor in kW as per the requirements of UN Regulation No. 85.
