Employees who take approved time off (Vacation, Floating Holiday, Regular Holidays, Jury Duty, Bereavement, Union Business or have an on-the-job injury) during the work week are considered as having met the 40-hour work week requirement and thus would be eligible to receive overtime pay when working on their assigned day off.
Whenever any of the Regular Holidays fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered an authorized holiday for those classifications and operational sections whose normal work schedules do not include Saturday work.
