Regular status provides the employee with rights to remain in the class or to appeal adverse action taken against the employee while serving in the class. Once attained in any USPS class, regular status is retained in that class throughout continuous employment in the USPS. However, any employee promoted or transferred to a different or higher class shall be required to serve another probationary period, as provided in Article 18.1.C.4.
