When such changes are necessary, the Relief Shifts will be rescheduled to allow the Relief Operator a minimum of two (2) consecutive days off within the same pay week, and a minimum of eight (8) hours will be maintained between rescheduled shifts.
Relief Shifts are deficiencies in the schedule which occur after the posting.
Part-Time Employees may also have Relief Shifts cancelled with two (2) hours advance notice and there shall be no financial penalty on the Employer.
Two (2) Relief Shifts will be offered to an Employee before moving on to the next senior Employee.

The shift shall be eight (8) hours and eighteen (18) minutes as follows: Relief Shifts 3:00 p.m. to 11:18 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 12:18 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 3:18 a.m. or Corrections Corporals are not permanently assigned and may be moved to any of the shifts, as indicated above, for operational needs.
