Required Distribution Date definition

Required Distribution Date means April 1 of the calendar year following the later of (i) the calendar year in which the Participant attains age seventy and one-half (70-1/2), or (ii) the calendar year in which the Participant has a Termination of Employment; provided, however, that this clause (ii) shall not apply (A) if the Participant is a five percent (5%) owner (as determined under Code Section 416(i)) of the Employer or a Related Company at any time during the Plan Year ending with or within the calendar year in which he or she attains age seventy and one-half (70-1/2), or (B) to a Participant who attained age seventy and one-half (70-1/2) before January 1, 1999.

Examples of Required Distribution Date in a sentence

  • Annual payments for subsequent years, including the year in which the Required Distribution Date occurs, must be made by December 31 of each year.

  • We may require proof that a person is alive on the Required Distribution Date, the Start Date, or at any time thereafter.

  • In the case of a distribution other than in the form of life income or joint life income, the annual distribution required to be made by the Required Distribution Date is for the calendar year in which you reach age 70 1/2.

  • EVIDENCE OF SURVIVAL We may require proof that a person is alive on the Required Distribution Date, the Start Date, or at any time thereafter.

  • Following such notice, a Participant may request that the required minimum distribution be paid to him from the Contracts by his Required Distribution Date.

Required Distribution Date means:
