Research and Development Term definition

Research and Development Term means the research and development stage of the Business Plan, which stage shall be deemed terminated upon the first commercial launch of a Product by Newco.

  • At least quarterly during the Research and Development Term, (i) BPM shall prepare and provide to the JRC a detailed summary of the progress of the work performed by BPM under the Research Plans during the preceding Calendar Quarter and (ii) Roche shall update the JRC with a detailed summary of the progress of the work performed by Roche under the Research Plans during the preceding Calendar Quarter.

  • Promptly upon expiry of the Research and Development Term, each Party shall provide a final written report to the JRC summarizing its activities under the Research Plans and the results thereof.

  • The Elan License shall be nonexclusive to Newco during the Research and Development Term, and thereafter during the License Term shall be exclusive to the extent applicable to the Commercialization (i) of a Product or Products which has (have) been successfully developed by Newco during the Research and Development Term, and (ii) of any Product containing the same Gene that would be competitive (i.e., directed at the same indication) with any Product being Commercialized by Newco.

Related to Research and Development Term

  • Research and development means (1) theoretical analysis, exploration, or experimentation; or (2) the extension of investigative findings and theories of a scientific or technical nature into practical application for experimental and demonstration purposes, including the experimental production and testing of models, devices, equipment, materials, and processes. Research and development does not include the internal or external administration of radiation or radioactive material to human beings.

  • Research and development facility means an establishment engaged in laboratory, scientific, or experimental testing and development related to new products, new uses for existing products, or improving existing products. The term does not include an establishment engaged in efficiency surveys, management studies, consumer surveys, economic surveys, advertising, promotion, banking, or research in connection with literary, historical, or similar projects.

  • Development Term means the period commencing on the Closing Date and ending on the earlier of (a) the Option Closing Date or (b) the date the Option terminates or expires other than by exercise.

  • Clinical Development means the conduct of clinical trials in humans to assess the dosing, safety and/or efficacy of the Product, including but not limited to Phase I Clinical Trials, Phase II Clinical Trials, Phase Ill Clinical Trials and Phase IV Clinical Trials.

  • Commercial Development means any development on private land that is not heavy industrial or residential.   • Commercial Development Plan means the written commercialization plan attached as Appendix E.

  • spatial development framework means the Mhlontlo Municipal Spatial Development Framework prepared and adopted in terms of sections 20 and 21 of the Act and Chapter 2 of this By-Law;

  • site development plan means a dimensioned plan drawn to scale that indicates details of the proposed land development, including the site layout, positioning of buildings and structures, property access, building designs and landscaping;

  • local spatial development framework means a local spatial development framework contemplated in section 9;

  • land development area means an erf or the land which is delineated in an application submitted in terms of this By-law or any other legislation governing the change in land use and “land area” has a similar meaning;

  • Initial Development Plan has the meaning set forth in Section 3.2(b).

  • Infill development means new construction on a vacant commercial lot currently held as open space.

  • municipal spatial development framework means a municipal spatial development framework adopted by the Municipality in terms of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Systems Act;

  • scientific research means any activity in the field of natural or applied science for the extension of knowledge;

  • Development Phase means the period before a vehicle type is type approved.

  • Development Team means the entities and professionals assembled to develop and manage the Project, typically including the Applicant, Owner, Developer(s), Co-Developer(s) and general partner or any other related entities in which the Developer or Co-Developer has an identity of interest or a Controlling Interest.

  • Land development means the erection of buildings or structures on land, or the change of use of land, including township establishment, the subdivision or consolidation of land or any deviation from the land use or uses permitted in terms of an applicable land use scheme;
