ORI, as used herein, means the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Research Integrity.
Publication and authorship shall follow the rules laid down in the Danish Code of Conduct for Research Integrity.
On or before the date on which the investigation begins, the VPR will send the inquiry report and the written determination to the Office of Research Integrity [ORI], or other federal agency, if required under federal regulations.
If it becomes apparent that the investigation cannot be completed within that period, the VPR shall promptly request an extension in writing from Office of Research Integrity, if applicable.
To the extent allowed by law, the University shall maintain the identity of respondents and complainants securely and confidentially and shall not disclose any identifying information, except to: (1) those who need to know in order to carry out a thorough, competent, objective and fair research misconduct proceeding; and (2) the Office of Research Integrity, if applicable, as it conducts its review of the research misconduct proceeding and any subsequent proceedings.

If an objection has been raised, the Parties involved shall discuss how to overcome the justified grounds for the objection on a timely basis (for example by amending the intended dissemination and/or by protecting information before dissemination), provided that the scientific integrity of the dissemination in conformity with the Netherlands Code of Conduct for Research Integrity 2018 is preserved.
The Parties undertake to act in full respect of human and fundamental rights of research integrity, as defined in particular in the Manifesto for Research Integrity in paragraph 12: “We repudiate all forms of discrimination leading to the exclusion of any minority from the benefits obtainable through any research activity and undertake to maintain an open working environment for researchers and students from all over the world”.
The Parties mutually acknowledge that they are aware of and apply, within the scope of their respective organizations, the Research Integrity Regulations, particularly the EU Regulation 2021/821 and its subsequent amendments and additions, which establishes a Union regime for the control of exports, brokering, technical assistance, transit, and transfer of dual-use items (recast).
In addition, the Recipient must respect the fundamental principle of research integrity — as set out in the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity.
