RR balancing capacity definition

RR balancing capacity means balancing capacity that cannot be activated in 15 minutes after command output or only with a ramping rate less than 10 MW/15 minutes but at least 5 MW/15 minutes. It shall meet the requirements for RR pursuant to SO GL and be capable of balancing in accordance with orders covering one or more settlement metering periods and with respect to the bid content. Its availability can be checked by the TSO.

Examples of RR balancing capacity in a sentence

  • In the case of Market Maker Contract positions for aFRR or mFRR and RR balancing capacity, if the Receiver cannot fulfil the technical requirements set out in the Transferer’s contract, the TSO shall not be obliged to allow the transfer of the Market Maker Contract position.

  • In case the Transferer has prequalification for providing aFRR balancing service (or has made a commitment to obtain such prequalification), the Receiver shall also have Prequalification for providing aFRR balancing service (or with a signed commitment statement to obtain such prequalification) even if the Transferer obtained its Market Maker Contract position in the framework of a Pre-selection Process for mFRR and RR balancing capacity pursuant to the provisions of the TD.

  • BSP’s obligations The rights and obligations of the BSP and TSO shall be contained in the contract for providing mFRR and RR balancing capacity, concluded according to the framework contract template pursuant to the relevant annex to the COBC, in the contract for providing FCR balancing capacity, concluded according to the framework contract template, as well as in the contract for providing aFRR and RR balancing capacity, concluded according to the framework contract template.

  • The TSO shall try to decrease the volume of capacities to contract in the aFRR balancing capacity market by using the mFRR and RR balancing capacity market.

  • Settlement of mFRR and RR balancing capacity (1) The TSO shall settle a balancing capacity fee only for the period of actual availability and on the basis of the qualification of delivery in the case of an order.

  • In the case of Market Maker Contract positions for aFRR or mFRR and RR balancing capacity, the Receiver shall undertake the performance of the provision of balancing reserve with technical conditions that meet at least the minimum requirement for providing the given balancing reserve.

  • The mFRR and RR balancing capacity shall be assigned to separate balancing service products in positive (upward (+)) and negative (downward (-)) balancing directions.

  • In the case of the transfer of Market Maker Contract positions for aFRR or mFRR and RR balancing capacity, the Receiver shall not undertake to perform for a balancing capacity price higher than the price set out by the Transferer and the TSO in the Market Maker Contract concluded as a result of the Pre-selection Process.

  • However, for each clearing, the volume of RR offers declared as unshared by a TSO shall not exceed the volume of RR balancing capacity it has procured less the volume of specific RR bids it received.

  • In the case of the transfer of Market Maker Contract positions for aFRR or mFRR and RR balancing capacity, the Receiver shall not undertake to perform fora balancing capacity price or balancing energy price higher than the price set out by the Transferer and the TSO in the Market Maker Contract concluded as a result of the Pre-selection Process.

Related to RR balancing capacity

  • Committed Capacity means that portion of the Capacity that is required to meet the Capacity Entitlements of Access Holders;

  • New Capacity means a new Generator, a substantial addition to the capacity of an existing Generator, or the reactivation of all or a portion of a Generator that has been out of service for five years or more that commences commercial service after the effective date of this definition. For purposes of Section 23.4.5 of this Attachment H, “Offer Floor” for a Mitigated Capacity Zone Installed Capacity Supplier that is not a Special Case Resource shall mean the lesser of (i) a numerical value equal to 75% of the Mitigation Net CONE translated into a seasonally adjusted monthly UCAP value (“Mitigation Net CONE Offer Floor”), or (ii) the numerical value that is the first year value of the Unit Net CONE determined as specified in Section 23.4.5.7, translated into a seasonally adjusted monthly UCAP value using an appropriate class outage rate, (“Unit Net CONE Offer Floor”). The Offer Floor for a Mitigated Capacity Zone Installed Capacity Supplier that is a Special Case Resource shall mean a numerical value determined as specified in Section 23.4.5.7.5. The Offer Floor for Additional CRIS MW shall mean a numerical value determined as specified in Section 23.4.5.7.6. For the purposes of Section 23.4.5 of this Attachment H, “Non-Qualifying Entry Sponsors” shall mean a Transmission Owner, Public Power Entity, or any other entity with a Transmission District in the NYCA, or an agency or instrumentality of New York State or a political subdivision thereof.

  • Maximum Capacity or ‘Pmax’ means the maximum continuous active power which a power-generating module can produce, less any demand associated solely with facilitating the operation of that power-generating module and not fed into the network as specified in the connection agreement or as agreed between the relevant system operator and the power-generating facility owner;

  • Idle capacity means the unused capacity of partially used facilities. It is the difference between: (a) that which a facility could achieve under 100 percent operating time on a one-shift basis less operating interruptions resulting from time lost for repairs, setups, unsatisfactory materials, and other normal delays; and (b) the extent to which the facility was actually used to meet demands during the accounting period. A multi-shift basis should be used if it can be shown that this amount of usage would normally be expected for the type of facility involved.

  • Excess Capacity means volume or capacity in a duct, conduit, or support structure other than a utility pole or anchor which can be used, pursuant to the orders and regulations of the Commission, for a pole attachment.

  • Net Qualifying Capacity has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.

  • Available RP Capacity Amount means the amount of Restricted Payments that may be made at the time of determination pursuant to Sections 6.04(a)(ii)(D), (a)(vii) and (a)(x) minus the aggregate amount of the Available RP Capacity Amount utilized by the Borrower or any Restricted Subsidiary to (a) make Investments pursuant to Section 6.06(q)(ii), (b) make Restricted Debt Payments pursuant to Section 6.04(b)(iv)(B) or (c) incur Indebtedness pursuant to Section 6.01(ll).

  • Project Capacity means the AC capacity of the project at the generating terminal(s) and to be contracted with MSEDCL for supply from the Solar Power Project.

  • Contract Capacity has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1(f).

  • Available Capacity means the capacity from the Project, expressed in whole megawatts, that is available to generate Product. [For As-Available Product facilities only]

  • Ramping Capability means the sustained rate of change of generator output, in megawatts per minute.

  • Reserved Capacity means the maximum amount of capacity and energy that the Transmission Provider agrees to transmit for the Transmission Customer over the Transmission Provider’s Transmission System between the Point(s) of Receipt and the Point(s) of Delivery under Tariff, Part II. Reserved Capacity shall be expressed in terms of whole megawatts on a sixty (60) minute interval (commencing on the clock hour) basis.

  • Contracted Capacity means the capacity (in MW AC) contracted with MSEDCL for supply by the successful bidder at the Delivery Point from the Solar Power Project.

  • Base Capacity Resource Price Decrement means, for the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 Delivery Years, a difference between the clearing price for Base Capacity Resources and the clearing price for Capacity Performance Resources, representing the cost to procure additional Capacity Performance Resources out of merit order when the Base Capacity Resource Constraint is binding.

  • System Capacity means the operational capacity of the System at any applicable point in time.

  • Storage Capacity means any combination of space, injectability and deliverability.

  • Installed Capacity or 'IC’ means the summation of the name plate capacities of all the units of the generating station or the capacity of the generating station (reckoned at the generator terminals), approved by the Commission from time to time;

  • Base Capacity Demand Resource Price Decrement means, for the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 Delivery Years, a difference between the clearing price for Base Capacity Demand Resources and Base Capacity Energy Efficiency Resources and the clearing price for Base Capacity Resources and Capacity Performance Resources, representing the cost to procure additional Base Capacity Resources or Capacity Performance Resources out of merit order when the Base Capacity Demand Resource Constraint is binding.

  • Base Capacity Resource means a Capacity Resource as described in Tariff, Attachment DD, section 5.5A(b).

  • Nameplate capacity means the maximum electrical generating output (in MWe) that a generator can sustain over a specified period of time when not restricted by seasonal or other deratings as measured in accordance with the United States Department of Energy standards.

  • Rated Capacity means the Average Daily Flow for which the Works are approved to handle;

  • Unforced Capacity shall have the meaning specified in the Reliability Assurance Agreement.

  • Final RTO Unforced Capacity Obligation means the capacity obligation for the PJM Region, determined in accordance with RAA, Schedule 8. Financial Close:

  • Generation Capacity Resource shall have the meaning specified in the Reliability Assurance Agreement. Generation Interconnection Customer:

  • RA Capacity means the maximum megawatt amount that the CAISO recognizes from a Project that qualifies for Buyer’s Resource Adequacy Requirements and is associated with the Project’s Capacity Attributes.

  • Bid Capacity meanss capacity offered by the bidder in his Bid under invitation.
