Section or Unit definition

Section or Unit means the meanings defined in the Act, and with particular reference to this Agreement shall mean that Section forming part of that Unit (which Unit includes an undivided share in the Common Property) which is sold and is to be transferred in terms of this Agreement notwithstanding that the Sectional Plan relating thereto may not yet be approved or registered;

Examples of Section or Unit in a sentence

  • Assignments within any Bureau, Division, Section or Unit will continue to rest with Command.

  • When it is necessary to appoint an employee to act in the place of a Sergeant, then the employee in the affected Section or Unit who stands highest on the promotional list to be promoted and who is eligible for promotion to Sergeant shall be given the acting time.

  • Compensatory time off shall be granted whenever there are no more than ten (10%) percent of the Police Officers assigned to the Section or Unit requesting the day off for either vacation time or compensatory time.

  • In the event there is no list, then the employee in the affected Section or Unit who has the most seniority shall be given the acting time.

  • Except as noted in this section the Chief of Police or the Deputy Chief in charge of the affected District Station, Division, Section or Unit shall determine when acting time is necessary.

  • Other than Field Operations, a Command Officer who has been assigned to a District Station, Division, Section or Unit for less than thirty (30) days within the last two (2) years of assignment may not be eligible to serve in an acting capacity.

  • Eligibility for acting time in such instances shall be determined by the Deputy Chief in charge of the affected District Station, Division, Section, or Unit.

  • The Sergeant permanently assigned to the Section or Unit where acting time is necessary and who stands highest on the promotional list for the rank of Lieutenant, shall be given the acting time.

  • In the event that no list exists, or there is no permanently assigned Sergeant on the promotional list, then the permanently assigned Sergeant in the Section or Unit who has the greatest seniority in rank shall be given the acting time.

  • The Chief or Deputy Chief in charge of the affected District Station, Division, Section or Unit shall determine when it is necessary to utilize Patrol Officers, including investigators, for on-call purposes.

  • Notice of Conversion or Continuation shall have the meaning provided in Section 2.6(a).

  • Deportation or forcible transfer of population means forced displacement of the persons concerned by expulsion or other coercive acts from the area in which they are lawfully present, without grounds permitted under international law;

  • Completion of Construction means the date, as determined by the Division after consultation with the Recipient, that the work of building and erection of the Project is substantially complete.

  • Benchmark Modification or Cessation Event means, in respect of the Benchmark any of the following has occurred or will occur:

  • Request for Advance means a Request for Revolving Credit Advance or a Request for Swing Line Advance, as the context may indicate or otherwise require.

  • Acquisition and Construction Fund means the fund so designated in, and created pursuant to, Section 502 hereof.

  • Begin actual construction means, in general, initiation of physical on-site construction activities on an emissions unit which are of a permanent nature. Such activities include, but are not limited to, installation of building supports and foundations, laying of underground pipework, and construction of permanent storage structures. With respect to a change in method of operation, this term refers to those on-site activities, other than preparatory activities, which mark the initiation of the change.

  • Start of construction means the date the development permit was issued, provided the actual start of construction, repair, reconstruction, or improvement was within 180 days of the permit date. The actual start means the first placement of permanent construction of the structure such as the pouring of slabs or footings, installation of piles, construction of columns, or any work beyond the stage of excavation, and includes the placement of a manufactured home on a foundation. (Permanent construction does not include initial land preparation, such as clearing, grading and filling; nor does it include the installation of streets and/or walkways; nor does it include excavation for a basement, footings, piers or foundations or the erection of temporary forms; nor does it include the installation on the property of buildings appurtenant to the permitted structure, such as garages or sheds not occupied as dwelling units or part of the main structure. (NOTE: accessory structures are NOT exempt from any ordinance requirements) For a substantial improvement, the actual start of construction means the first alteration of any wall, ceiling, floor, or other structural part of a building, whether or not that alteration affects the external dimensions of the building.

  • Contribution in aid of construction, as used in this subrule, means a nonrefundable cash payment grossed-up for the income tax effect of such revenue covering the costs of a distribution main extension or service line that are in excess of costs paid by the utility. The amount of tax shall be reduced by the present value of the tax benefits to be obtained by depreciating the property in determining the tax liability.

  • Amendment No. 3 Effective Date has the meaning specified in Amendment No. 3.

  • Amendment No. 2 means Amendment No. 2 to this Agreement, dated as of the Amendment No. 2 Effective Date, among the Borrower, the Administrative Agent and the other parties party thereto.

  • Foreign construction material means a construction material other than a domestic construction material.
