Severability and Savings. Each provision in this Agreement is separate. If necessary to effectuate the purpose of a particular provision, the Agreement shall survive the termination of Executive’s employment with Company. If any provision of this Agreement, in whole or in part, is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the parties agree that any such provision shall be deemed modified to make such provision enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. As to any provision held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in effect.

If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid by operation of law or by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be inoperative, but all other provisions shall not be affected thereby and shall continue in full force and effect. Any such provision held invalid or inoperative shall be renegotiated upon written request of either party to this Agreement.

If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid by operation of law or by any tribunal or court of competent jurisdiction, or if compliance with or enforcement of any provision should be restrained by such tribunal or court pending a final determination as to its validity, the remainder of this Agreement shall not be affected thereby.

Severability and Savings. 21.1 If any provisions of this Agreement are held to be contrary to law by final legislative act or a court of competent jurisdiction inclusive of appeals, if any, such provisions will not be deemed valid and subsisting except to the extent permitted by law, but all other provisions will continue in full force and effect.
21.2 In the event any such provision is invalidated as described above, the parties shall, upon request, meet not later than fifteen (15) working days after such request to discuss the impact of such a holding and to negotiate possible alternative provisions.

If any provision of this Agreement or any application of this Agreement to any unit member or group of unit members is held invalid by operation of law or by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be inoperative, but all other provisions shall not be affected thereby and shall continue in full force and effect.

In the event that any provision or provisions of this Agreement are found to be contrary to law by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision or provisions of this Agreement shall be severed from this Agreement, but all other provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
Severability and Savings. A. During the life of this agreement, should any article, section, or clause of this agreement be declared illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, said part or portion, as the case may be, shall be immediately deleted from this agreement. Such invalidation of a part or portion of this agreement shall not invalidate any remaining portions of this agreement which shall continue in full force and effect.
B. During the life of this agreement, should any article, section, or clause of this agreement be declared illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, the parties agree to meet and negotiate, upon request, within thirty (30) days after such determination for the purpose of arriving at a mutually satisfactory replacement for such article, section, or clause. In the event the parties are unable to reach agreement on a satisfactory replacement for such article, section or clause within thirty (30) days after negotiations commence, the issue shall be remanded to the provisions of Article VIII of Chapter 10.7, commencing with section 3540 of the Government Code.
Severability and Savings. In the event any one or more of the provisions of this Agreement shall for any reason be held to be invalid, void, illegal, or unenforceable by any court, arbitrator, or governmental agency, the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid, void, illegal, and/or unenforceable provision(s) shall survive to the extent not so held.
Severability and Savings. Each Section and each Subsection of this Agreement is hereby declared to be independent of every other Section or Subsection so far as inducement for the acceptance of this Agreement, and invalidity of any Section or Subsection of this Agreement shall not invalidate any other Section or Subsection of this Agreement.
