(1) We may limit our payment to the actual cash value of the sinkhole loss, not including underpinning or grouting, or any other repair technique performed below the existing foundation of the building, until you enter into a contract for the performance of building stabilization or foundation repairs. After you enter into the contract, we will pay the amounts necessary to begin and perform such repairs as the work is performed and the expenses are incurred. We may not require you to advance payment for such repairs.
(2) If the repair has begun and the professional engineer selected or approved by us determines that the repair cannot be completed within the policy limits we must either complete the professional engi- ▇▇▇▇'▇ recommended repair or tender the policy limits. Payment will not be reduced for the repair expenses incurred.
(3) We will pay to stabilize the land and building and repair the foundation in accordance with the rec- ommendations of the professional engineer as provided under statute, and in consultation with you, subject to the coverage and terms of the policy. We will pay for other repairs to the structure in ac- cordance with the terms of the policy. We will pay for contents in accordance with the terms of the policy. UPCIC
(4) Except as described in Item (2), the amount payable for a covered loss for a sinkhole shall not ex- ceed the applicable limit of liability.
