Social welfare organization means a civic 501(c)(4) organ- ization, considered by the federal IRS to be operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare, that is primarily engaged in actively promoting the common good in ways related to the organization's pur- pose.
Social welfare organization means any society or association of persons the purposes of which consist of or include the promotion or maintenance of social welfare, but does not include any Government Department or Government Board, any local authority, the Bermuda Hospitals Board, or the governing body of any school.
