Special transportation service definition

Special transportation service means motor vehicle transportation provided on a regular basis by a public or private entity or person that is designed exclusively or primarily to serve individuals who are elderly or disabled and who are unable to use regular means of transportation but do not require ambulance service.”
Special transportation service means transportation service designed to meet the special needs of elderly persons and persons with disabilities for whom ordinary mass transportation services are unavailable, insufficient or inappropriate and provided in the service area described in the Grantees final, approved application.
Special transportation service means a service that conveys senior citizens or physically or mentally challenged persons by motor vehicle to specific destinations such as grocery shopping, professional appointments, banking or other similar type destinations. The service shall include assisting passenger(s) with the conduct of the activity for which the service was hired.
