Specially Funded Program. Teacher shall mean all teachers who do not have regular contract teacher status in the district immediately prior to being hired to staff special programs which are funded by agencies other than the district. Specially funded program teachers are covered by this Agreement and are eligible for fringe benefits. Any discontinuance or curtailment of funds by the program's funding agency shall constitute the discontinuance of a particular service (i.e. program) within the meaning of Section 53A-8-107 Utah Code, justifying the nonrenewal of employment contracts for the teachers in that program, as a necessary staff reduction.

Examples of Specially Funded Program in a sentence

  • Specially Funded Program (x.x. Xxxxxxx, ESSER, State and federally funded programs etc.) When the District will lay off a classified employee due to the expiration of a specially funded program, the District will follow the notice requirements in Education Code 45117(g).
