Specialty Pay. Effective January 01, 2013, constables trained, qualified and assigned for a continuous period of 12 months to the following areas defined below and as assigned by the Chief of Police while actively assigned in the function that permits a member to perform the regular requirements of the position shall receive compensation per Appendix “A” paid annually in December. Such compensation shall be pro-rated for members not performing the function for the entire year. For greater clarity, members on a leave of absence, including Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability or in a temporary accommodation shall have their compensation pro-rated.

Examples of Specialty Pay in a sentence

  • The Specialty Pay is to be included in all computation of overtime or other benefits.

  • In addition to the base rate of pay, determined under this MOU, employees engaged in specialty assignments shall receive Specialty Pay as herein defined.

  • In exchange for the addition of this Specialty Pay the Association agrees that there will be two (2) FIS Specialists on Standby at all times; however, only one (1) shall be entitled to Standby compensation.

  • Specialty Pay: Incentive pay added to the base pay for EMT-1 certification or Paramedic licensure.

  • This practice will be limited to one occurrence per Captain receiving Paramedic Specialty Pay per pay period.

  • At such time as the employee returns to work, the applicable Specialty Pay shall be reinstated effective as of the date of return to active duty.

  • However, a Captain receiving Paramedic Specialty Pay may fill an assignment as a Paramedic.

  • The Specialty Pay will be included in overtime rate computations.

  • Members who are eligible for the Senior Member Responsibility Incentive will continue to receive the incentive in addition to the Specialty Pay under this clause.

  • Notary Specialty Pay will be effective the beginning of the pay period following state certification and approval of the Department Manager.

  • Specialty pharmacy means a pharmacy that dispenses specialty drugs to patients and that is nationally accredited by an independent third party.

  • SPECIALTY HOSPITAL means a hospital or the specialty unit of a general hospital that is licensed by the state. It must be designed to care for patients with injuries or special illnesses. This includes, but is not limited to, a long-term acute care unit, an acute mental health or acute short-term rehabilitation unit or hospital. • convalescent home; • rest home; • nursing home; • home for the aged; • school and college infirmary; • residential treatment facility; • long-term care facility; • urgent care center or freestanding ambulatory surgical center; • facility providing mainly custodial, educational or rehabilitative care; or • a section of a hospital used for custodial, educational or rehabilitative care, even if accredited by the JCAHO or listed in the AHA directory.

  • Specialty fertilizer means a fertilizer distributed primarily for nonfarm use.

  • Specialty Drugs means high-cost injectables, infused, oral, or inhaled Prescription Drugs for the ongoing treatment of a chronic condition, including but not limited to, the following: Hemophilia, Hepatitis C, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, Crohn’s Disease, Cancer (oral medications), and Growth Hormones. These Prescription Drugs usually require specialized handling (such as refrigeration). Spouse means a person of the same or opposite sex who is legally married to Subscriber under the laws of the state or jurisdiction in which the marriage took place. A marriage legally entered into in another jurisdiction will be recognized as a marriage in the District of Columbia.
