SPLIT CAPITAL INVESTMENT means the purchase of shares in a public limited company, which is a closed-ended investment company as defined by the UK Listing Authority, wherever in the world it is incorporated or listed, with more than one share class, which may or may not qualify as an investment trust under s842 Income & Corporation Taxes Act 1988.
