Standard Private Room definition

Standard Private Room means a room categorised as a single, private or first class room by a Hospital. In case if the hospital does not have any room categorisation, a Standard Private Room shall mean a room in Hospital with private bath or shower room solely for the patient’s private used. A single occupant room that is 1) classified as higher than the standard single occupant class by the Hospital, or 2) equipped with additional facilities such as private kitchen, dining or sitting room(s) if the Hospital does not have any room categorisation, shall be excluded.

Standard Private Room means a basic single occupancy room, with an adjoining private bath or shower room, in a Hospital. For the avoidance of doubt, Standard Private Room does not include any room with amenities upgraded beyond a basic single occupancy room, with an adjoining private bath or shower room, in a Hospital.

Standard Private Room means a basic single occupancy room during the Confinement with its own private facilities which includes a bath or shower room, but not including kitchen, dining or sitting rooms.“Qualified Nurse”shall mean a nurse who is, (a) duly qualified and registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong pursuant to the Nurses Registration Ordinance (Cap. 164 of the Laws of Hong Kong) or a body of equivalent standing in jurisdictions outside Hong Kong (as reasonably determined by the Company in utmost good faith); and (b) legally authorized for rendering relevant nursing service in Hong Kong or the relevant jurisdiction outside Hong Kong where the nursing service is provided to the Insured Person, but in no circumstance shall include the following persons - the Insured Person, the Policy Holder, or an insurance intermediary, employer, employee, immediate family member or business partner of the Policy Holder and/or the Insured Person (unless approved in advance by the Company in writing). If the nurse is not duly qualified and registered under the laws of Hong Kong or a body of equivalent standing in jurisdictions outside Hong Kong (as reasonably determined by the Company in utmost good faith), the Company shall exercise reasonable judgment to determine whether such nurse shall nonetheless beconsidered qualified and registered.
