Story Consultant definition

Story Consultant means a writer who is a Guild member whose duties include analysis, consultation, research and editorial advice regarding Script Material for Feature Films, Television Movies and Mini- Series and who is engaged on the basis of his or her expertise in the area of writing. This shall not include individuals generally recognized as “technical consultants”, whose expertise as engaged is not in the area of writing. A256 Story Editor a person, regardless of title or credit received, whose duties include writing Rewrites and Polishes for a Series or Serial. A257 means two (or more, with the consent of the Guild, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld) Writers engaged by the Producer at the same time who have agreed to collaborate on a Script or Scripts. A Team will be deemed to be one Writer for the purposes of this Agreement. Payment will be split equally between or among the Writers of the Team.
Story Consultant means a writer whose duties include analysis, consultation, research and editorial advice regarding Script Material for Productions which are not part of a Series who is engaged on the basis of his or her expertise in the area of writing. (Also known as Script Consultant.)

Examples of Story Consultant in a sentence

  • Where a Writer, Story Editor or Story Consultant rents or leases an automobile at the direction of the Producer, the Producer shall pay all costs of renting or leasing.

  • In all other cases, credits shall be governed by the terms of the contract between the Writer or Story Editor or Story Consultant and the Producer.
