STREET SWEEPINGS definition

STREET SWEEPINGS means materials removed from streets, sidewalks, parking lots, and roadways during routine cleaning by a sweeping operation consisting of sand, sealcoat, tree waste and debris. Street sweepings do not include any material originating from an industrial spill or contaminated area.
STREET SWEEPINGS means sand that may have been mixed with salt and then applied to public or private streets, roads, highways, and parking areas during winter storm operations, and that is ultimately swept or cleaned from these areas and recovered.
STREET SWEEPINGS means materials consisting primarily of soil, rocks, asphalt, leaves and other vegetative matter generated during the cleaning of roads. It may also contain small amounts of other Solid Wastes that are often discarded along roads. It does not include material generated during the cleanup of an oil or hazardous waste chemical spill.
