Structural changes definition
Structural changes means those changes that are separate from the automatic workings of the policy. Structural changes usually would be initiated by the policy owner and include changes in the guaranteed benefits, changes in latest maturity date, or changes in allowable premium payment period.

Structural changes means any changes to the Pension Scheme, implemented prior to the Longstop Date, made by or at the direction of the Purchaser, the Company or by the trustees of the Pension Scheme (provided they are with the approval, or at the request, of the Purchaser) by means of a deed of amendment or as otherwise permitted under the rules of the Pension Scheme, or the exercise of a power under the provisions of the Pension Scheme affecting members’ entitlement to benefits relating to pensionable service before or after the Completion Date which has the effect of reducing Pension Scheme Liabilities including without limitation the closing of the Pension Scheme, the closing of the Pension Scheme to new members, the termination of employment of employees of any Group Company by way of redundancy or induced voluntary resignation or voluntary redundancy in connection with the sale of the Relevant Asset, a change of benefits under the Pension Scheme away from final salary to career average earnings, or a change in commutation factors, but excluding any changes made as required by Law or as required by Law following any change in the requirements of Law, any termination of employment or resignation of employees of any Group Company in the ordinary course of business of such Group Company, or the withdrawal from service of any member between the Completion Date and the Longstop Date, whether voluntary or compulsory, other than in connection with the sale of the Relevant Asset; and
Structural changes means those changes which alter the structure of a building, including but not limited to its load bearing walls and all types of post and beam systems in wood, steel, iron or concrete.
Structural changes as used herein shall not include moving of non-load bearing partitions, relocation of building entry doors (provided no new openings are made in exterior walls), minor plumbing and electrical work, modification and rearrangement of fixtures or other minor changes. Lessor, at Lessee's sole cost, shall cooperate with Lessee in securing building and other permits or authorizations as may be required from time to time for any work permitted hereunder, but shall not be required to make any public appearance before any planning commission or other governmental authority. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Lessee shall have the right to install furnishings, counters, interior partitions and equipment (including without limitation, electric fixtures or air handling units) that are not a permanent part of the structure, whether the same shall be affixed or nailed to the Premises or not, or by Lessee, which shall at all times be regarded as "Trade Fixtures" and shall be separately assessed for real property tax purposes. Such Trade Fixtures may be removed by the Lessee at any time prior to the termination of this Lease or any renewals or extensions thereof at Lessee's own expense. If Lessee removes any of such Trade Fixtures as herein designated, Lessee shall do so in a way as not to injure the Building.
Structural changes means changes affecting the "structural elements" of the Building, which are the foundation, floor plate, exterior or load--bearing walls, curtain wall, roof and the Building-wide plumbing, electrical and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (the "HVAC System"), and changes requiring a change in the Certificate of Occupancy applicable to the Building unless same shall have been specifically authorized by Landlord on the following terms and conditions (i) the character or use of the Building shall not be affected; (ii) the structural strength of the Building shall not be weakened; and (iii) no part of the Building outside of the demised premises shall be physically affected except as to Tenant's changes specifically authorized by Landlord pursuant to this Lease.
