Student-Athletes definition

Student-Athletes as used herein shall refer to any School student enrolled in the Sports listed on Attachment B.
Student-Athletes means individuals enrolled in member institutions who participate in NCAA Division II athletics; and
Student-Athletes means only those who are rostered to any SJSU

Examples of Student-Athletes in a sentence

  • Student-Athletes who test positive for COVID-19, or are presumed positive for COVID-19, will be required to be cleared by a physician to return to practice and will follow the Graduated Return to Play Protocols outlined by the California Interscholastic Federation.

  • In addition to the annual training for Employees described in provision 6.D., and the training for all SJSU Athletics Employees described in provision 6.E.1., SJSU will maintain, develop, or contract for additional live training on informed consent for all SJSU Athletics Training and Sports Medicine staff, including any volunteer or paid physicians and trainers who interact with Student-Athletes and any clinician assigned to oversee SJSU athletic trainers.

  • SJSU Sports Medicine and Athletics Training Program will develop consultation coordination protocols with the Student Health Center for treating Student-Athletes.

  • The School agrees to allow UPMC to communicate with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”)-regulated School employees to obtain and share health related information of the Student-Athletes at the School.

  • The Athletics Director will meet each semester with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Title IX Coordinator to discuss trends in reports of Sexual Harassment involving Student-Athletes and to develop proactive measures for preventing Sexual Harassment of Student-Athletes.

  • Suspected Concussion: Pursuant to the Safety in Youth Sports Act (24 P.S. §5323) (“SYS Act”), the Athletic Trainer will evaluate Student-Athletes to determine whether they exhibit signs or symptoms of a concussion or traumatic brain injury.

  • SJSU will also continue to provide periodic live trainings6 to audiences who have been determined to benefit from additional training, including Employees (e.g., student employees, resident advisors, and employees/faculty in certain departments), and Students (e.g., graduate students, students involved in Greek life, Student-Athletes, international students, and students in ROTC).

  • Former Student-Athletes may receive referral assistance from SJSU’s Title IX Office for alternative or continuing psychological counseling.

  • The School reserves the right to adopt rules and regulations from time to time and all Student-Athletes enrolled shall comply fully with the rules and regulations then in force as stated or amended.

  • UPMC will not be responsible or liable for any information disclosed or not disclosed to the PDE regarding Student-Athletes’ opportunities and treatment of Student-Athletes the preceding year.

Related to Student-Athletes

  • Student athlete means an individual who engages in, is eligible to engage in, or may be eligible in the future to engage in, any intercollegiate sport. If an individual is permanently ineligible to participate in a particular intercollegiate sport, the individual is not a student athlete for purposes of that sport.

  • Athletic trainer means an athletic trainer licensed

  • Public School Student Accessing Courses at a Distance means a student who is scheduled for a full course load through the District and attends all classes virtually.

  • Athletic director means an individual responsible for administering the overall athletic program of an educational institution or, if an educational institution has separately administered athletic programs for male students and female students, the athletic program for males or the athletic program for females, as appropriate.

  • School nurse means a registered professional nurse with Maine Department of Education certification for school nursing.
