Subscription Pay Television definition

Subscription Pay Television means programming delivered pursuant to a schedule (predetermined by the service provider) for television viewing simultaneously with the delivery of such programming and for which the subscriber is charged a separately allocable or identifiable premium fee for the privilege of viewing such service in addition to any charges for Basic Television or other similar services. Subscription Pay Television does not include programming offered to subscribers on a sell-through video downloading, Video-On-Demand, Pay-Per-View or so-called “subscription video-on-demand” basis.
Subscription Pay Television means a fully encrypted schedule of programming, (i) the signal for which originates in the Territory, (ii) that is provided by a cable television system, a master antenna system, a SMATV system, an MDS System, a DTH system, or a master antenna system which receives programming directly from a satellite to subscribers located solely within the Territory for television viewing simultaneously with the delivery of such programming, and (iii) for which the subscriber is charged a separately allocable or identifiable premium fee for the privilege of viewing such service in addition to any charges for basic television services or other similar services. “Subscription Pay Television” does not include basic television services or programming offered to subscribers only a Pay-Per-View, Video-On-Demand or Free-On-Demand basis.
Subscription Pay Television means a fully Encrypted schedule of programming, (a) the signal for which originates in the Territory, (b) that is provided by a Television Delivery System (or a supplier to a Television Delivery System for provision) to subscribers located solely within the Territory for television viewing simultaneously with the delivery of such programming, and (c) for which the subscriber is charged a separately allocable or identifiable premium fee for the privilege of viewing such service in addition to any charges for Basic Television services or other similar services or in a bundle with a tier of television service above a Basic Television service.

Examples of Subscription Pay Television in a sentence

  • In no event shall there be any restrictions on Licensor’s right to exploit (a) any Library Series that is already under license to one or more Free Broadcast Television services, Basic Television Services or Subscription Pay Television Services in the Territory as of its Availability Date hereunder, (b) any Library Series that is licensed hereunder solely for exhibition on an SVOD Standalone basis (i.e., not for exhibition on the Basic TV Service(s)) or (c) any of the Library Films.

  • Licensor shall not exhibit nor authorize third parties to exhibit such Program (i.e., Season 1 only) within the Territory in the Licensed Language by means of (a) Free Broadcast Television, Basic Television Service, Subscription Pay Television Service, Pay-Per-View Basis or FOD/AVOD howsoever delivered prior to or during such Program’s License Period, or (b) SVOD howsoever delivered prior to August 31, 2012.

  • Licensor shall not be subject to any holdback at any time with respect to the exploitation of any Included Program in any language, medium or delivery means; provided Licensor agrees not to authorize the exhibition of any Current Film for Free Television or Subscription Pay Television in the Licensed Language in the Territory during such Current Film’s License Period.

  • Licensor acknowledges and agrees that such Library Series are not already under license to one or more Free Broadcast Television services, Basic Television Services or Subscription Pay Television Services in the Territory as of their Availability Date, and are therefore subject to the applicable exclusivity/holdbacks set forth in Section 4.6 above.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, the Program may not be offered to subscribers on a Subscription Pay Television service or on a “video-on-demand”, “pay-per-view” or “pay-per-day” basis, or by any non-protected means of transmission such as free terrestrial television or via mobile networks or devices or the Internet (except on a Simulstream or Catch-Up Basis in accordance with Sections 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8 below).

  • During the Licensor Window, Licensor shall have the right to exploit the Program by means of Subscription Pay Television and Basic Television and Licensee shall have no right to exploit the Program during the Licensor Window.

  • During the Licensor Window, Licensor shall have the right to exploit the Program by means of Subscription Pay Television, and Licensee shall have no right to exploit the Program.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, Licensor shall, upon no less than ninety (90) days prior written notice to Licensee, have the right to carve out an exclusive window to interrupt the License Period for any Program for a window for a Subscription Pay Television Service (“Licensor Window”) of not more than sixteen (16) months.

  • During the License Period for a Program, Licensor shall not exhibit or authorize the exhibition of such Program within the Territory in the Authorized Language on Basic Television Services or Subscription Pay Television Services.

  • Licensor shall not exhibit or authorize any third party to exhibit Season 5 in the Licensed Language in the Territory as follows: During the first twelve (12) months of the Season 5 License Period, on any Subscription Pay Television, basic television or free broadcast television service.
