Sunday Premium definition

Sunday Premium. For employees hired prior to April 3, 2011, Sunday rates shall be calculated using the same factor as the current factor for Sunday rates. Employees hired on or after April 3, 2011, shall receive $1.00 per hour over the employee’s regular straight-time wage rate for all hours worked on Sunday.
Sunday Premium. The payment of the Sunday premium, as set out in Section 113 .03 .01, will be paid for all hours worked on Sundays, to a maximum of ten hours . Examples of Sunday Premium in a sentence

  • An employee who is required to work a scheduled tour, any period of which falls between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday, shall be paid Sunday Premium Pay.

  • Sunday Premium Pay is one-half (½) time extra for the time worked in this period except that where the employee has not been given 48 hours notice of such work she shall be paid double time for all time worked up to the basic hours of work for that day.

  • Any time worked by an employee in excess of: (a) forty hours per city work week for weekly overtime, or (b) in excess of the regular or normal work day, either prior to or after the regularly assigned shift for daily overtime, shall be designated as overtime and shall be compensated at one-and- one-half times the regularly assigned shift base hourly rate which may include a night differential or a Saturday and or Sunday Premium, if applicable.

  • Night Pay, Night Shift Differential, Sunday Premium Pay, Holiday Premium Pay, and all other special and/or irregular compensation categories will be computed and paid IAW applicable laws and regulations.

  • At the employee’s request, instead of being paid for the Sunday Premium, they may bank the additional (1/2) times their time worked on any Sunday, in their overtime bank.
