Teacher on Call definition

Teacher on Call will mean a teacher who provides day to day teaching that is less than 20 consecutive teaching days in any one teaching position.
Teacher on Call means a teacher employed to replace a Teacher, Yukon First Nations Language Teacher, or Educational Assistant/Remedial Tutor who is reasonably anticipated to be absent from regular duties for less than 30 consecutive instructional days;
Teacher on Call. (TOC) is a teacher employed to replace a teacher who is temporarily absent from their regular assigned duties. APPENDIX B - ON-CALL AND TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES‌ The following provisions do not apply to on-call employees:‌

Examples of Teacher on Call in a sentence

  • When a teacher on call is appointed to a committee referred to in Article A.5.1 and A.5.2 above, and the committee meets during normal instructional hours, the teacher on call shall be paid pursuant to the provisions in each district respecting Teacher on Call Pay and Benefits.

  • Teacher on Call daily rates shall be adjusted in accordance with Article B.1.

  • Teacher on Call daily rates shall be adjusted in accordance with Article B.1.1.

  • If a Teacher on Call is required, such costs shall be borne by the employer.

  • Up to 15 additional days will be granted with deduction at the pay rate of a Teacher on Call whether a Teacher on Call is required or not.

  • When a teacher on call is appointed to a committee referred to in Article A.5.2 and A.5.3 above, and the committee meets during normal instructional hours, the teacher on call shall be paid pursuant to the provisions in each district respecting Teacher on Call Pay and Benefits.

  • Teacher on Call daily rates shall be adjusted in accordance with Article B.

  • For purposes of this section, seniority shall mean the aggregate length of service in the employment of the Board inclusive of service under temporary appointment, continuing appointment and part time teaching but exclusive of services as a Teacher on Call.

  • Teacher on Call list after July 1, 2002, who are not covered by 1.3 above, shall be paid a daily rate according to the provisions of the Column A agreement.

  • The granting of leave under this section will be subject to there being a Teacher on Call available pursuant to Article C.106.


More Definitions of Teacher on Call

Teacher on Call means a certified teacher and a "substitute" is an uncertified replacement. Substitutes will be hired only when a Teacher-on-Call is not available. Subject to availability:
Teacher on Call or “TOC" means an Instructor in the School employed by the Employer to substitute for an Instructor or to augment the teaching staff, and who may work full-time or part-time for up to ten continuous days in the same assignment.
Teacher on Call means a certified teacher who is employed on a day to day basis to give instruction as a substitute for a teacher who is absent from regular duties and who is listed on the approved list of Island Catholic School Teachers on Call "Professional Development Day" means a day scheduled during the school year for planned professional development activities "Non-instructional Days" means those days when students are not in attendance but staff are required to attend. This includes planning days, parent-teacher conference days and days set aside for professional development activities within the school year

  • Qualified veteran means a person who meets the following requirements:

  • Qualified actuary means a member in good standing of the American Academy of Actuaries.

  • ANNUITY DATE The date on which Annuity Payments begin. The Annuity Date is shown on the Contract Schedule. ANNUITY OPTIONS: Options available for Annuity Payments.

  • Qualified Nurse means a person who holds a valid registration from the Nursing Council of India or the Nursing Council of any state in India.

  • Qualified Joint and Survivor Annuity means an immediate annuity for the life of a Participant, with a survivor annuity for the life of the spouse which is not less than 50% and not more than 100% of the amount of the annuity which is payable during the joint lives of the Participant and the spouse, and which is the amount of benefit that can be purchased with the Participant's Vested Account Balance. The percentage of the survivor annuity under the Plan shall be 50%.
