Technical Standard Order definition

Technical Standard Order means a minimum performance standard issued by the Director for specified materials, parts, processes or appliances, used on aircraft;
Technical Standard Order means a minimum performance standard issued by the authority in the State of manufacture for specified materials, parts, processes and appliances used on a civil aircraft;
Technical Standard Order. (TSO) means a minimum performance standard used to evaluate an article. Each TSO covers a certain type of article. When authorized to manufacture an article to a TSO standard, this is referred to as a TSO Authorization.
