Temporary Posting definition

Temporary Posting means the agreed temporary placement of an officer to a prison on the completion of the trainee prison officer course, pending a permanent posting.
Temporary Posting means the transfer of an employee from the employee's regular posting to another posting, on a temporary basis for a period in excess of one week (7 days), the conditions of which preclude the employee from claiming full living and traveling expenses for the duration of the temporary posting. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for establishing an equitable per diem allowance for each employee during temporary posting governed by the prevailing rates in the area for:
Temporary Posting. Means a position that is used for to create stability due to a transient period of time at a minimum of three (3) months to a maximum of twelve (12) months. Examples of transient long-term work; Sick leaves, STD, LTD, union leave, maternity leave, unpaid leave, etc. or any other circumstances agreed to between the parties. In addition, the parties, may by letter of agreement extend the duration. All unionized employees would have the right to apply with no change from their original status. An employee filling a temporary vacancy shall not bid on any other temporary posting until the end of his/her temporary position. The temporary position may grant additional articles below if they are not already applicable. • working hours; • wage rate; • payment of overtime; • statutory holidays; Temporary vacancies anticipated of lesser duration shall not be posted, unless otherwise agreed between the Employer and the Union.

  • UR’s will cover for absences for up to thirty (30) days before a Temporary Posting is required.

  • Should any temporary position under this Article be filled by a part-time employee, they shall, for the duration of the Temporary Posting, be afforded part time benefits at no cost to themselves.

  • When there is no applicant for a "Temporary Posting" the position will be filled by the most junior employee not holding a posted position in the plant.

  • Unclassified employees may be used only in connection with temporary periods or the circumstances referred to in item "C" of the Letter of Agreement for a Temporary Posting Procedure, which is attached to this collective agreement.

  • Casual Seniority List who are the successful applicant for a Temporary Posting (Article duration minimum weeks), shall receive on straight time hours worked for the duration of the Temporary Position in lieu of benefits.
