Tenured Teachers definition

Tenured Teachers. TDE, as described herein, will apply to tenured Teachers unless specifically identified as applicable to non-tenured Teachers.
Tenured Teachers for the purpose of this article, shall include those bargaining unit members who have attained tenure pursuant to the Teachers’ Tenure Act as well as those not covered by the tenure act who have completed four (4) full school years of employment with the school district within the bargaining unit.

Examples of Tenured Teachers in a sentence

  • Tenured Teachers who: a) have a catastrophic illness, b) have exhausted all of their current and accumulated sick leave and, c) had at least thirty-one (31) days of unused sick leave at the start of the catastrophic illness shall be granted the greater of thirty (30) additional sick leave days or thirty percent (30%) of the total number of sick days the tenured Teacher had accumulated at the start of the catastrophic illness.

  • Tenured Teachers shall first be recalled to vacant positions in inverse order from that in which said Teacher was placed on layoff, providing that such Teacher possess necessary certification for the position.

  • On a voluntary basis, Tenured Teachers may serve as Mentor Teachers to those Teachers on staff that are probationary.

  • Tenured Teachers: Each teacher in contractual continued service will be evaluated at least once every two school years.

  • Tenured Teachers who have completed the probationary period shall be formally evaluated once every three (3) years, using the forms and procedures described herein.

  • The proficient teacher The following is pertinent to the following evaluations: Non-tenured and Tenured Teachers (both in and out of classroom), School Librarians, and Speech Language Pathologists.

  • During these two years, they will have the rights and privileges of Tenured Teachers.

  • Tenured Teachers who receive a formal summative evaluation rating of Unsatisfactory shall within thirty (30) school days participate in the development of a remediation plan.

  • A Tenured Teacher will be placed upon remediation status when the Evaluator determines, as a result of performance evaluations, that an identified weakness or weaknesses are significant enough to rate the Tenured Teacher's overall performance as "Unsatisfactory" and the weakness or weaknesses are remediable.

  • The Board shall have the right to withhold an index step increase from Tenured Teachers who have been rated as “Unsatisfactory,” as specified in the “Evaluation Program for Professional Personnel.” All forms related to Teacher Evaluation process are available online through the District- approved online evaluation system.
