Term Faculty definition

Term Faculty means full-time or part-time faculty members who are not eligible for tenure. Term faculty members are subject to the rights, responsibilities, and standards of professional conduct for faculty as specified in this Handbook. The College makes thefollowing term faculty appointments:

Examples of Term Faculty in a sentence

  • The term Limited Term Faculty includes all faculty members hired for defined periods of not less than one year and not more than a cumulative total of four years.

  • Appointments to the Limited Term Faculty may require only the teaching and service components of the Academic Duties and Responsibilities described in Article 10 (Workload).

  • A Limited Term Faculty member shall have the right to one additional teaching assessment in any given semester.

  • Where a member in a Limited Term Faculty appointment is offered a probationary appointment, the University and the member shall be free to negotiate the starting salary of the probationary appointment.

  • Assessment procedures shall be as those set forth in Article 5A.5. Limited Term Faculty members may respond, in writing, to any teaching assessment.

  • In circumstances where the University takes steps to bring to an end the Limited Term Contract earlier than the originally agreed to terminal date of the LTF contract, the Limited Term Faculty member shall be entitled to the benefits of the notice period set out in Article 24.B.1 (a) and, in addition, a severance payment.

  • Limited Term Faculty shall file a Faculty Annual Report each year.

  • Any individual member of the Regular and Term Faculty may file a grievance under this policy.

  • Except as provided in Article 11, (Reduction, Recall and Severance Pay), permanent regular faculty members who accept an appointment to a different area under this Article shall maintain their permanent regular status but shall be subject to the provisions of Article 16, (Evaluation of Probationary Regular and Term Faculty Members), as they apply to these positions.

  • Defining each tenure-stream position and each Limited Term Faculty member as 1.0 FTE, and every 30 academic course hours of instruction by Limited Contract (Temporary) Instructors as 1.0 FTE, the combined FTE total of appointments made under A.

Related to Term Faculty

  • Term Facility means, at any time, (a) on or prior to the Closing Date, the aggregate amount of the Term Commitments at such time and (b) thereafter, the aggregate principal amount of the Term Loans of all Term Lenders outstanding at such time.

  • Term Facilities means the Term A Facility and the Term B Facility.

  • Term B Loans means (a) the term loans made by the Lenders to the Borrower pursuant to Section 2.01(a), and (b) any Incremental Term Loans in the form of Term B Loans made by the Incremental Term Lenders to the Borrower pursuant to Section 2.01(c).

  • Term Loans means, collectively, the Tranche A Term Loans and the Tranche B Term Loans.

  • Term Loan C has the meaning set forth in Section 2.2(c).

  • Initial Term Facility means the Initial Term Loan Commitments and the Initial Term Loans made hereunder.

  • Term Loan B has the meaning set forth in Section 2.2(b).

  • Term Loan Facilities means the Term Loan A Facility and the Term Loan B Facility.

  • Tranche C Term Loan as defined in Section 2.1.

  • Term B-1 Loans has the meaning specified in Section 2.01(a)(ii).

  • Term Loan has the meaning specified in Section 2.01(b).

  • Term A Loans has the meaning specified in Section 2.01(b).

  • Incremental Term Facility has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 2.22(a).

  • New Term Facility has the meaning specified in Section 2.14(a).

  • Term B Loan is defined in Section 2.2(a)(ii) hereof.

  • Tranche C Term Loan Commitment means the commitment of a Lender to make a Tranche C Term Loan to Company pursuant to subsection 2.1A(iii), and "Tranche C Term Loan Commitments" means such commitments of all Lenders in the aggregate.

  • Term B-1 Lender means a Lender with an outstanding Term B-1 Loan Commitment or an outstanding Term B-1 Loan.

  • Term Benchmark when used in reference to any Loan or Borrowing, refers to whether such Loan, or the Loans comprising such Borrowing, are bearing interest at a rate determined by reference to the Adjusted Term SOFR Rate.

  • Incremental Term B Loans has the meaning specified in Section 2.14(a).

  • Term A Lender means (a) at any time on or prior to the Closing Date, any Lender that has a Term A Commitment at such time and (b) at any time after the Closing Date, any Lender that holds Term A Loans at such time.

  • Term Loan Extension Series has the meaning set forth in Section 2.16(a).

  • Term B-2 Lender means each Lender holding a Term B-2 Loan.

  • Term B Note means a promissory note made by the Borrower in favor of a Term B Lender, or its registered assigns, evidencing Term B Loans made by such Term B Lender, substantially in the form of Exhibit C-1.

  • Term B Loan Commitment means the obligation of the Term B Lenders to make a Term B Loan on the Closing Date in an aggregate principal amount equal to $850,000,000. The Term B Loan Commitment on the Closing Date is $850,000,000.

  • Term Facility Maturity Date means, as the context may require, (a) with respect to the Term B Facility in effect on the Closing Date, the Term B Facility Maturity Date and (b) with respect to any other Class of Term Loans, the maturity dates specified therefor in the applicable Incremental Assumption Agreement.

  • Term Lender means a Lender with a Term Commitment or an outstanding Term Loan.
