The Chair Elect definition

The Chair Elect means the person who has been elected, but who has not yet assumed office, as Chair of the Bar Council pursuant to the provisions of the Bar Council Constitution;

  • the Director means the Director of the IMO International Maritime Law Institute;

  • Alternate Director means a person elected or appointed to serve, as the occasion requires, as a member of the board of a company in substitution for a particular elected or appointed director of that company;

  • Chair means the chair of the Board;

  • Vice-Chair means the Vice-Chair of the Board.

  • Vice-Chairman means the Vice Chairman of the Board.

  • Vice-Chairperson means the Vice-Chairperson of the Board.

  • Lead Director means, at any given time, the lead, independent member (if any) elected as such by the Board and occupying such position.

  • Management Director means a Person selected in accordance with Article IV of this Agreement who shall have the powers and duties to manage the business and affairs of the Company and exercise its powers to the extent set forth in this Agreement, the Certificate and the Act. Each Management Director shall be a “manager” of the Company within the meaning of the Act.

  • Deputy Chairman means the Non-Executive Director appointed by the Council of Governors to take on the Chairman’s duties if the Chairman is absent for any reason.

  • Chairman means the Chairman of the Board;

  • Non-Management Director means any Person selected in accordance with Article IV of this Agreement who is not a Management Director.

  • State Director means the chief administrative officer of the State water pollution control agency, or the authorized representative of the State Director.

  • CSR Committee means the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Board referred to in section 135 of the Act.

  • Executive Committee means a group of directors elected or appointed to act on behalf of, and within the powers granted to them by, the Commission.
