Transfer proceeding definition

Transfer proceeding means any proceeding in the Tribal Court to grant, accept, or decline transfer of any children’s case from or to the courts of any Indian tribe or state whenever such transfer is authorized by tribal, federal, or state law.
Transfer proceeding means any proceeding in the tribal court to accept or decline transfer from any state court of any state court proceeding for the foster care placement of, or termination of parental rights to, any Indian child.
Transfer proceeding means a proceeding pursuant to D.C. Official Code § 16-2307 to transfer a respondent who is alleged to be a delinquent in a juvenile case from the Family Court to the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to face adult criminal charges.
