Transmission Owners definition

Transmission Owners means Montana, Puget, Water Power, Portland and Pacific and shall include their successors and assigns of an ownership interest in the Transmission System or any part thereof.
Transmission Owners means each of Central ▇▇▇▇▇▇; Con Edison; NYSEG; National Grid; O&R; and RG&E; as well as LIPA acting in its role as a governmental authority owning transmission in the state of New York, including each of their respective successors and permitted assigns.
Transmission Owners has the meaning assigned to it under the Colstrip Project Transmission Agreement.

  • The NYISO shall issue the study’s findings in writing to the Developer and Connecting Transmission Owner(s).

(q) “Transmission System” means the facilities described in Exhibit “A” hereto and related facilities, real property and property rights (including, but not limited to, the real property as described in Exhibit “B” hereto). (r) “Transmission System Capacity” means that portion of the Integrated System Capacity allocated to the Transmission System pursuant to Section 8(b). (s) “Transmission System Capital Additions” means additions, betterments, and replacements by the Transmission Owners to the Transmission System that are made pursuant to this Agreement and are necessary: (1) to assure design reliability for Requirements Capacity, (2) as required by governmental agencies, (3) to transmit generation from Colstrip Units #1 and #2 and the Project, (4) to respond to a transmission service request, or (5) to respond to a generation interconnection or transmission-to-transmission interconnection request; provided, however, the construction of a new transmission line in response to a transmission service request or a generation interconnection or transmission- to-transmission interconnection request is specifically excluded from “Transmission System Capital Additions.” (t) “Transmission System Capital Retirements” means physical elements of the Transmission System removed from service or use with the intent that the items so removed will not be placed back into service. (u) “Transmission System Construction” means all activities necessary for planning, engineering, acquisition and erection of the Transmission System and of Transmission System Capital Additions and Transmission System Elective Capital Additions. Transmission Owners means each member of the ISO whose transmission facilities (in whole or in part) make up the Transmission Provider Transmission System or a Selected Developer as designated by the ISO.

Related to Transmission Owners

  • Transmission Owner means a Member that owns or leases with rights equivalent to ownership Transmission Facilities and is a signatory to the PJM Transmission Owners Agreement. Taking transmission service shall not be sufficient to qualify a Member as a Transmission Owner.

  • Transmission Operator means the entity responsible for the reliability of its “local” Transmission System, and that operates or directs the operations of the Transmission Facilities.

  • Interconnected Transmission Owner means the Transmission Owner to whose transmission facilities or distribution facilities Customer Interconnection Facilities are, or as the case may be, a Customer Facility is, being directly connected. When used in an Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, the term may refer to a Transmission Owner whose facilities must be upgraded pursuant to the Facilities Study, but whose facilities are not directly interconnected with those of the Interconnection Customer.

  • Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities means all Interconnection Facilities that are not Customer Interconnection Facilities and that, after the transfer under Tariff, Attachment P, Appendix 2, section 5.5 to the Interconnected Transmission Owner of title to any Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities that the Interconnection Customer constructed, are owned, controlled, operated and maintained by the Interconnected Transmission Owner on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection identified in appendices to the Interconnection Service Agreement and to the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, including any modifications, additions or upgrades made to such facilities and equipment, that are necessary to physically and electrically interconnect the Customer Facility with the Transmission System or interconnected distribution facilities. The “Transmission Provider” shall be the Office of the Interconnection for all purposes, provided that the Transmission Owners will have the responsibility for the following specified activities:

  • Transmission Owner Attachment Facilities means that portion of the Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities comprised of all Attachment Facilities on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection.
