If no locally negotiated or accepted procedure exists, the local Union and the College/University shall negotiate a procedure for the Tuition Waiver Program in accordance with the New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act and its governing regulations.
These provisions shall not apply to routine forms, such as Personnel Action Forms, Tuition Waiver Requests, etc.
Members of the bargaining unit who retire in good standing shall be eligible for the following benefits: • Tuition Waiver (See Article 15) • Free Parking • Use of College Facilities (library, fitness center, etc.) To retire in good standing, the bargaining unit member shall provide no less than 90 days notice to the Human Resources Department.
The State Colleges/Universities Tuition Waiver Program is described in Letter of Agreement #9 in the back of this Contract.
All full-time Professional Employees who have retired from the College are eligible to receive a Tuition Waiver for the College courses.
Access to summer school classes using the Tuition Waiver Program will be for the life of this contract and will expire on June 30, 2023.
Part-Time Regular Unit Member Tuition Waiver: Unit members may take courses not to exceed four (4) credit hours per semester and in the summer.
Full-Time Regular Unit Member Tuition Waiver: Unit members may take courses not to exceed eight (8) credit hours per semester and in the summer.
Employees may take classes offered by other higher education institutions during work time with no loss of pay in accordance with the YVC Tuition Waiver Policy if approved by the supervisor.
Employees may take YVC College classes during work time with no loss of pay in accordance with the YVC Tuition Waiver Policy if approved by the supervisor.
