Vacation Bid definition

Vacation Bid. In areas of the Department where vacation bidding occurs, the bureau or section shall develop a procedure that informs employees of the parameters for the bid process and posts two (2) weeks prior to the bid process. All employees shall be afforded the opportunity to bid for enough blocks of time to ensure they will not lose time at the end of the year. It shall be the employee’s responsibility to inform the supervisor if the bid does not afford the opportunity to utilize accrued leave without loss of time.

  • Vacation Bid slots will be granted so long as MHT staffing levels do not fall below 4 MHT staff between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm and 3 MHT staff between the hours of 9 pm and 8 am.

  • Vacation Week A calendar Week, based on the Gregorian Calendar, of Vacation that is put out for bid by the Company during the Annual Vacation Bid.

  • Anytime throughout the year, after the annual vacation bid is closed, Employee’s will be able to request individual days off on the Vacation Bid Calendar a minimum of fifteen (15) days prior to the requested date.

  • The Vacation Bid Awards shall be posted no later than 1:00 p.m. on August 30th of each year.

  • Vacation means annual vacation with pay.

  • Vacation Year means the twelve (12) month period commencing on the first day of April in each calendar year and concluding on the last day of March of the following calendar year.
