Veterans Day definition

Veterans Day means the eleventh day of November of each
Veterans Day means the federal legal holiday designated by 5 U.S.C., Section 6103; and
Veterans Day. Veterans Day has been added to the list of standard holidays. See Article 12, Section 4.

Examples of Veterans Day in a sentence

  • All work performed outside of the regular scheduled working hours and on Saturdays, Sundays, and the following holidays: New Year's Day, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ Day (California only), Presidents Day (Nevada only), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day (California only), Nevada Day (Nevada only), Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following, and Christmas Day, or days celebrated as such, shall be paid for at double the regular straight-time rate of pay.

  • An employee who is required to work on Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Day after Thanksgiving, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇.'s Birthday, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇'s Birthday or Washington's Birthday and who meets the eligibility requirements contained herein shall receive his or her regular pay for each hour worked.

  • Veterans memorial” means any structure, plaque, statue, or other monument described in 18 U.S.C. § 1369(a).

  • Veteran means an individual who served in the uniformed services and who was discharged or released from the uniformed services under conditions other than dishonorable.
