Vigilance Commissioner definition

Vigilance Commissioner means a Vigilance Commissioner appointed under sub-section (1) of section 4.

  • If the IEM has reported to the Director, CMTI, a substantiated suspicion of an offence under relevant IPC/ PC Act, and the Director, CMTI has not, within the reasonable time taken visible action to proceed against such offence or reported it to the Chief Vigilance Officer, the IEM may also transmit this information directly to the Central Vigilance Commissioner.
