Visa payWave. Contactless Payment by using Visa payWave platform for retail purchases. Only applicable to selected cards with Contactless logo.
Visa payWave refers to the facility that allows you to execute Card Transactions either by tapping or waving your Card against such Visa payWave Readers (as defined in Clause 3.3 below) without requiring any signature, PIN or other authentication on your part (subject to such activation and authentication procedures referred to in Clause 3.2) .
Visa payWave means functionality as part of a Visa Debit card that allows Transactions to be made at participating Merchants by holding your Card or mobile device such as a smart phone (which is capable of making a Contactless Transaction) in front of a Contactless Terminal. You do not have to sign or enter a PIN to complete the Transaction if the purchase is for less than $100. Purchases made using your mobile device may require input of your Mobile Device Passcode.

  • It allows you to conduct convenient transactions at any merchants fitted with a Visa payWave contactless payment reader worldwide.
