Vulnerability Assessment Tool (VAT) definition
Vulnerability Assessment Tool (VAT) means the assessment tool used to measure an individual’s level of vulnerability. The tool is designed for use by service providers accustomed to interacting directly with individuals experiencing homelessness. Training is required to ensure reliable application of the tool. The results are then used by the Provider, or through the CAA process where applicable, to appropriately match clients with housing.
