Vulture Fund definition

Vulture Fund means a hedge fund, vulture fund, distressed debt fund, private equity fund or similar fund whose principal business or principal portfolio or investment strategy is to invest in loans or debt securities at highly discounted prices in the secondary market and take legal action against the borrowers or issuers of such loans or debt securities for debt recovery.
Vulture Fund means, as determined by Collateral Agent, any hedge fund or private equity fund that exclusively buys distressed securities of commercial companies or sovereign nations and then uses various methods to gain a larger amount than the purchase price of such securities.
Vulture Fund means any Person or solely primarily engaged in investing in distressed debt and/or non-performing loans. For purposes of this definition, “primarily engaged” shall include a Person that has, directly or indirectly, a portfolio of investments consisting of 66.6% or more of distressed debt and/or non-performing loans.
