Whole Person Function definition

Whole Person Function means where a payment depends on the person meeting criteria based on the Whole Person Function, the calculation is to be based on the current edition of the American Medical Association publication entitled Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment until an equivalent Australian guide, sanctioned by the Australian Medical Association, has been produced, at which time the calculation in the relevant Australian guide will apply.
Whole Person Function. Means the Member suffers 25% Whole Person Impairment based on the latest edition of the American Medical Association publication ‘Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment’, or an equivalent guide approved by the Insurer. The ‘Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment’ covers every body system and provides a standardised approach to determine impairment assessment using patient history, physical examination and clinical tests.The assessment of Whole Person Function will be undertaken by the appropriate certified specialist based on the Member attaining maximum medical recovery.
Whole Person Function means where a payment depends on the Life Insured meeting criteria that are based on the Whole Person Function, the calculation is to be based on the edition of the American Medical Association publication “Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment” or an equivalent Australian guide that is then current that has been sanctioned by the Australian Medical Association.

Examples of Whole Person Function in a sentence

  • The Insured Member must have also sustained a neurological deficit causing at least 25% permanent impairment of Whole Person Function, or inability to perform at least one (1) of the Activities of Daily Living.Peripheral Neuropathy as a result of alcohol, drug or substance abuse is excluded.

  • A Medical Doctor or appropriate consultant medical specialist must certify that the Person Insured has:  severe inflammation of the meninges of the brain; and at least 25% Permanent Impairment of the Whole Person Function; or if the Person Insured is aged seven years or over, permanent inability to perform any one of the five Activities of Daily Living without assistance from someone else.

  • Permanent Impairment of the Whole Person Function – criteria for the assessment and rating of permanent impairment as defined in the “Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment – 5th Edition” (or subsequent editions) produced by the American Medical Association.

  • The Insured Person to suffer at least twenty-five percent (25%) impairment of Whole Person Function that is permanent, or the total and irreversible inability of the Insured Person to perform at least one (1) of the numbered Activities of Daily Living without the physical assistance of another adult person.

  • School function means any school-sponsored extra-curricular event or activity.

  • Servicing Function Participant Any Additional Servicer, Sub-Servicer, Subcontractor or any other Person, other than the Certificate Administrator, the Operating Advisor, the Master Servicer, the Special Servicer and the Trustee, that is performing activities that address the Servicing Criteria, unless such Person’s activities relate only to 5% or less of the Mortgage Loans by unpaid principal balance calculated in accordance with the provisions of Regulation AB.

  • Trustee Functions means the functions set out in paragraph 6;

  • Governmental function means an activity that is expressly or impliedly mandated or authorized by constitution, statute, local charter or ordinance, or other law. Governmental function includes an activity performed on public or private property by a sworn law enforcement officer within the scope of the law enforcement officer's authority, as directed or assigned by his or her public employer for the purpose of public safety.

  • Defendant/Person Under Supervision means any pretrial releasee, probationer, parolee, mandatory releasee, mandatory parolee, or supervised releasee receiving drug/alcohol testing and/or substance use assessment/treatment, mental health assessment/evaluation/treatment, and or sex offense specific evaluation/treatment/testing while under the supervision of the Federal Probation or Pretrial Services Office. Hereinafter, the term defendant applies to those on pretrial supervision, whereas person under supervision applies to those on post- conviction supervision.

  • Distribution Function means the functions with regard to:

  • critical functions means activities, services or operations the discontinuance of which is likely in one or more Member States, to lead to the disruption of services that are essential to the real economy or to disrupt financial stability due to the size, market share, external and internal interconnectedness, complexity or cross-border activities of an institution or group, with particular regard to the substitutability of those activities, services or operations;

  • Essential job functions means the fundamental job duties of the employment position an individual holds. A job function may be considered essential if-

  • Delegated Functions means a function of the Director or the Lord Chancellor delegated to you by an Authorisation;

  • Marketplace facilitator means a person that contracts with remote sellers to facilitate for consideration, regardless of whether deducted as fees from the transaction, the sale of the remote seller’s property or services through a physical or electronic marketplace operated by the person, and engages:

  • investor of a Contracting Party means: (a) A natural person having the nationality of a Contracting Party in accordance with its applicable law; or (b) An enterprise constituted or organised under the applicable law of a Contracting Party; Making or having made an investment in the other Contracting Party's territory.

  • Commercially Useful Function means responsibility for the execution of a distinct element of the work of the contract, which is carried out by actually performing, managing, and supervising the work involved, evidencing the responsibilities and risks of a business owner such as negotiating the terms of (sub)contracts, taking on a financial risk commensurate with the contract or its subcontract, responsibility for acquiring the appropriate lines of credit and/or loans, or fulfilling responsibilities as a joint venture partner as described in the joint venture agreement.

  • corporate person means a company as defined in clause (20) of section 2 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), a limited liability partnership, as defined in clause (n) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (6 of 2009), or any other person incorporated with limited liability under any law for the time being in force but shall not include any financial service provider;

  • Essential functions means the fundamental job duties of the employment position the individual with a disability holds or desires. “Essential functions” does not include the marginal functions of the position.

  • Serviced Appointment has the meaning set forth in Section 1.1.

  • Private Person means any person, firm, entity or individual who or which is other than a "governmental unit" as that term is used in Sections 141 and 148 of the Code.
