The Fall-Winter Semesters and Winter Semester only Agreements begin and end at 10:00 a.m. on the dates specified on the Agreements.
These are defined as the following: Fall/Winter Semester, Winter Semester only, Spring/Summer Semester, Spring Semester only and Summer Semester only.
Normally, grades for graduating students will be reported five (5) days before the last day of the Winter Semester, and for all other students within four (4) working days after the end of the Fall Semester, within five (5) working days after the end of the Winter Semester, and within three (3) working days after the end of the Summer session.
For both Fall and Winter Semester sabbaticals, the normal vacation period shall be adjusted, in accordance with Article 15.1, so that one month of vacation shall be inside and one month outside the period of the sabbatical.
A Winter Semester sabbatical shall be for the period 1 January – 30 June.
Adjunct faculty delegates shall be elected annually in Senate conducted elections during each Winter Semester, with adjunct delegate status effective the following August 1.
For the purpose of calculating the number of sabbaticals granted in an academic year, Fall and Winter Semester sabbaticals shall be counted as one half (1/2) an annual sabbatical.
Notification of reduction shall be given on November 1 for reduction to take place the subsequent Fall Semester, and/or March 1 for reductions to take place the subsequent Winter Semester, and/or 185 calendar days after date of notice.
Fall Semester fees are due by September 30, 2019, and Winter Semester fees are due by November 30, 2019.
Any Employee who has been employed as a member of the bargaining unit in the Winter Semester under the provisions of this Agreement and is employed in a like position for the immediately subsequent Spring/Summer semester shall be entitled to up to two credits of tuition during the summer (subject to the limitations set out in Article XVII).
