Within 24 hours language in NRS 40.253 means "within 24 hours" of the Sheriff's "receipt" of the Order from the Justice Court...While other's think it is "within 24 hours" of the tenant's receipt of the Order from the Sheriff...and this Court's official forms and instructions seem to imply that "at least 24 hours" from "receipt" of the lockout Order must be accorded to a tenant. Who knows? But, it is not clear, as Hill suggests, that the "usual custom and practice of the Washoe County Sheriff's Office" is black letter law upon which Bar grievances, custodial criminal trespass arrests, multiple Motion for Order To Show Cause, tens of thousands of dollars in attorney's fees sanctions against a pro se appellant, etc. are warranted.
