Work Permits. Visas: If legal work authorization is required, it must be granted before you depart for the Host Country. The Company will coordinate assistance for you to obtain the proper visas/work permits for you and your family. To the extent that you pay any visas or passport filing/application fees personally, you will be reimbursed. The Company will continue to pay the costs of your US Naturalization proceeding directly, provided, that should you pay any out of pocket costs personally in connection with this proceeding, you will be reimbursed.

Work Permits. A Hot Work Permit is required for any and all brazing, cutting, heating, roofing, soldering, and welding that is performed at Hampshire College. The hot work must be performed in accordance with the requirements of OSHA and the Massachusetts Fire Prevention Regulations. The Hot Work Permit must be obtained from the Hampshire College Facilities and Grounds Office before hot work is initiated. The permits can be short or long duration depending on the site and work being executed. CODES: The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local codes, including but not limited to the building, fire, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical codes. INSURANCE: Contractor shall purchase such insurance in limits and amounts per Attachment C that will protect both Hampshire College and Contractor from claims set forth below which may arise out of or result from Contractor's performance of the Work and provide Owner with evidence of such insurance prior to commencement of work.

If any federal, state or local agency makes a claim or fine against the College because of Contractor failure to comply with federal, state or local laws, rules, regulations and codes for work done under this Agreement the Contractor will assume full financial and legal responsibility to pay and defend all claims or fines, and to pay all expenses including legal expenses of the College resulting from the federal, state or local agency investigation. If the Contractor does not perform according to this agreement, the College has the right to collect all amounts owed and all expenses including legal expenses incurred from the Contractor. Any reference to specific laws, rules or regulations elsewhere herein is solely for the benefit and information of the contractor and shall not change or modify the Contractor’s responsibilities under this Agreement. Both parties mutually agree to give the other prompt notice of any investigation or inquiry into work performed under this Agreement by any federal, state or local agency.
