Cynorthwyo i ddarparu Gwasanaeth Llyfrgell ac Adnoddau Dysgu sy’n rhoi lle canolog i’r dysgwyr. Cynnal sesiynau cynefino, dangos sut i ddefnyddio offer TGCh, a chynorthwyo myfyrwyr/tiwtoriaid i’w ddefnyddio. Sicrhau bod y Ganolfan Adnoddau Llyfrgell yn parhau i gynnig amgylchedd cadarnhaol i weithio ac astudio ynddo. Goruchwylio’r rhai sy’n defnyddio’r Ganolfan Adnoddau Llyfrgell, gan gadw cofnodion ystadegol o’r defnydd a wneir o’r ganolfan. | |
Prif Ddyletswyddau a Chyfrifoldebau | |
1. Cynnal safonau o’r radd flaenaf xx xxxx gofal i gwsmeriaid ac ansawdd er mwyn rhoi profiadau rhagorol i ddysgwyr. 2. Ateb ymholiadau o fewn ac o du xxxxx y coleg, gan gynnwys defnyddio catalog y llyfrgell, adnoddau electronig a deunyddiau eraill a geir yn y llyfrgell. Cynorthwyo gyda benthyciadau o lyfrgelloedd eraill, clustnodi adnoddau a chwilio am lyfrau pan geir ceisiadau am lyfrau newydd. 3. Agor/cau’r Ganolfan Adnoddau Llyfrgell a chynnal awyrgylch distaw a disgybledig yno pan fydd yn agored, yn unol â pholisïau disgyblu dysgwyr. 4. Cadw cofnodion ystadegol o’r defnydd a wneir o’r adnoddau er mwyn llunio adroddiadau ar y defnydd e.e. cyfrif pennau, faint sy'n dod drwy'r drws, ymholiadau ac ati. 5. Defnyddio System Reoli’r Llyfrgell wrth roi benthyg eitemau ac wrth eu derbyn yn ôl, ac wrth ddilyn yr xxxx drefnau cysylltiedig h.y. o ran aelodaeth, dychwelyd llyfrau’n hwyr, rhestri llyfrau, gwirio data llyfryddol ac ati. 6. Prosesu stoc newydd (gosod trigeri diogelwch, stampiau eiddo, labeli meingefnau a dyddiadau etc.) a chael gwared ar hen ddeunydd. 7. Cynorthwyo gydag arddangosfeydd a chynlluniau marchnata eraill, fel Reading Ahead, sy'n ymwneud â'r llyfrgell. 8. Gweithio heb oruchwyliaeth a gofalu am y ganolfan adnoddau llyfrgell ar xxxx pen xxxx hun os bydd angen. 9. Cynorthwyo i gofnodi incwm, yn unol â'r rheoliadau ariannol, a sicrhau bod yr arian yn cael ei drosglwyddo i’r Adran Gyllid. |
10. Cynorthwyo gyda sesiynau cynefino i fyfyrwyr yn y Ganolfan Adnoddau Llyfrgell. Hyrwyddo a chydymffurfio â pholisïau a gweithdrefnau perthnasol y coleg e.e. ansawdd, iechyd a diogelwch, defnydd derbyniol o TGCh ac ati. 11. Ymdrin ag ymholiadau staff a myfyrwyr ynghylch TGCh, a chefnogi'r defnydd o adnoddau dysgu cyfunol. Rhoi gwybod am unrhyw broblemau sy'n gysylltiedig â chaledwedd TGCh a sicrhau bod camau priodol yn cael eu cymryd. 12. Cyflawni dyletswyddau eraill perthnasol, sy'n gydnaws â graddfa'r swydd, ar gais y Rheolwr Llyfrgelloedd ac Adnoddau Dysgu. | |||

Job purpose | |
To help provide a learner centred Library & Learning Resource Service. Carry out inductions and demonstrate and assist in the use of ICT equipment. Ensure that the Library Resource Centre remains a positive environment to work and study in. Supervise those using the Library Resource Centre and maintain statistical records of usage. | |
Main duties and responsibilities | |
1. Maintain high standards in quality and customer care to provide an excellent learner experience. 2. Answer information queries from within and outside college, including use of library catalogue, electronic resources and other library materials. Assisting with inter-library loans, reservations and bibliographical searching for new book orders. 3. Maintain a quiet and disciplined atmosphere, complying with learner disciplinary policies, and to open and close the Library Resource centre. 4. Maintain statistical records of usage, for reporting on learner usage e.g. head counts, door counts, enquiries etc. 5. Use the Library Management System for issue and return of items and all related procedures i.e. membership, overdues, book lists, checking bibliographic data etc. 6. Process new stock (applying security triggers, property stamps, spine and date labels etc.) and withdraw old material. 7. Assist with display work and other library marketing initiatives such as Reading Ahead. 8. Undertaking unsupervised work and single xxxxxxx of the Library Resource Centre if required. 9. Assist in recording income, in compliance of finance regulations, and ensuring payments are paid into the Finance Department. 10. To assist with student induction to the Library Resource Centre. To promote and comply with relevant college policies and procedures e.g. quality, health and safety, acceptable use of ICT etc. 11. To deal with staff and student ICT queries, support the use of blended learning resources. To report any issues with ICT hardware and ensure that appropriate action is taken. |

Annual leave | • 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years’ continuous service (01 September to 31 August). • All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. • Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually. • Part Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above. • Term Time contracts will receive a pro rata entitlement to the above paid as part of annual salary. |

Travel | Arrangements to reimburse employees who incur additional expense whilst carrying out their official duties on behalf of the Grŵp is outlined in the Travel, Subsistence and Relocation policy. Successful applicants will be required to complete a Drivers Assessment Form for Health screening upon appointment (if applicable). Copies of insurance certificates must be provided to the Grŵp Finance department on an annual basis by all employees claiming mileage expenses for using their own car to confirm that “Business Use” insurance is in place. |
