Mae’r Ymchwilydd Ôl-Ddoethurol hwn wedi’i ariannu i ymgymryd â thasgau ymchwil o fewn y Prosiect Dinasyddion Ecolegol. Xxx xxx y prosiect hwn dri phrif xxxxxxx – Wrecsam, RCA a Phrifysgol Efrog, yn ogystal â rhwydwaith o bartneriaid a restrir yn y cais wrth i’r prosiect ddatblygu. Bydd gan yr ymchwilydd ôl-ddoethurol (PDRA) ddiddordeb brwd a phersonol mewn datblygu gwell ffyrdd o ddefnyddio prosiectau cydweithredol celfyddydol a gwyddonol i annog dinasyddiaeth gynaliadwy ac ecolegol, a chefnogi’r gwaith o ddatblygu rhwydwaith Dinasyddion Ecolegol. Mae profiad a sgiliau mewn cydweithrediadau Celfyddydol a Gwyddonol, yn enwedig mewn perthynas â meithrin ymgysylltiad cymunedol a hyrwyddo dealltwriaeth gyhoeddus, yn hanfodol, ynghyd â diddordeb mewn ymarfer cyfranogol sy’n ac ymarfer sy’n canolbwyntio ar y defnyddiwr, yn ogystal â datblygu technolegau i gefnogi themâu allweddol, fel bwyd, ynni a’r amgylchedd. Byddai diddordeb brwd mewn meithrin rhwydweithiau, creu naratifu gweledol ar gyfer ymddygiadau a fframweithiau ôl-gynaliadwy hefyd yn ddymunol. Bydd y rôl yn cynnwys gweithio gydag ystod xxxx o bartneriaid, ac ychwanegu atynt, er mwyn: datblygu ein rhwydwaith o actorion; i hwyluso gweithdai a grwpiau ffocws strategol; ymgysylltu â’r gwaith o gasglu a dadansoddi data; cynhyrchu adroddiadau a diweddariadau; galwadau cyllid; a chyfrannu at gyfeiriad strategol a chyflawni’r prosiect Dinasyddion Ecolegol. Bydd y PDRA yn adrodd i'r Prif Ymchwilydd yn WGU ac yn ei gefnogi. Bydd gan y PDRA sgiliau cyfathrebu rhagorol, y byddwch yn eu defnyddio i weithio’n effeithiol gyda’n partneriaid academaidd ac anacademaidd. |
Byddwch yn treulio amser yn rhwydweithio gydag ymchwilwyr ôl-ddoethurol eraill yn Efrog a Llundain, a gyda’n sawl cydweithredwr, xxxxx xxx parodrwydd i deithio’n bwysig. Byddwch yn frwd dros ddysgu gan eraill. Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn gweithio ochr yn ochr â’r prif ymchwilydd, cyd-ymchwilwyr, y xxx cenedlaethol, partneriaid a rolau eraill o fewn y prosiect.
Mae’r prosiect wedi’i arwain gan ddyluniad, ond byddai diddordeb gweithredol yn y byd naturiol, deunyddiau, technoleg, a'r economi ddigidol yn fuddiol. Mae prototeipio technolegol a phrofiad o ddylunio cyfrifiadura hollbresennol yn ddymunol.
Tasgau Allweddol |
Prif gyfrifoldebau'r swydd hon fydd: • Ymgymryd â phrosiectau ymchwil manwl, o safon a chydweithredol lle bo’n berthnasol sy’n arwain at ganlyniadau ymchwil cadarn. • Datblygu amcanion cyrhaeddiad personol a diddordebau sy’n alinio’n agos â chynlluniau ehangach y prosiect. • Ar y cyd ag aelodau xxx, rheoli unrhyw ddyfarniadau a enillwyd, gan sicrhau bod ymchwil arfaethedig yn cael ei gwblhau, bod adnoddau’n cael eu rheoli’n effeithlon, a bod canlyniadau ac effeithiau ymchwil yn cael eu cyflawni’n effeithiol. • Gweithio gyda phartneriaid academaidd, diwydiant a thrydydd sector fel sy’n briodol ar brosiectau rhannu gwybodaeth ac ymchwil cydweithredol. • Cefnogi ymgysylltiad gydag unrhyw gwmni noddi, gan ymgymryd â phrosiectau ymchwil cydweithredol a chyfrannu at gysylltiadau gweithio er mwyn cynnal partneriaeth gynhyrchiol. • Cynhyrchu a rhannu allbynnau ymchwil sy’n cael eu rhannu’n effeithiol gyda’r byd drwy sianeli priodol (er enghraifft llyfrau, erthyglau a adolygwyd gan gymheiriaid, cynadleddau) ar gyfer y ddisgyblaeth hon. • Cynhyrchu allbynnau ymchwil. Gall yr allbynnau hyn fod yn addas i'w cyflwyno i'r ymarfer Fframwaith Rhagoriaeth Ymchwil Cenedlaethol (REF), gydag ansawdd o leiaf 3* yn unol â'r diffiniad REF. • Cefnogi’r gwaith o gyfathrebu canlyniadau ymchwil i ystod xxxx o gynulleidfaoedd, gan gynnwys drwy ymgysylltiad cyhoeddus, teilwra cynnwys, ac arddull i ystod xxxx o arbenigwyr a chynulleidfaoedd nad ydynt yn cynnwys arbenigwyr. • Cymryd rhan mewn rhwydweithiau academaidd, diwydiant, llywodraeth a pholisi perthnasol, fel sy’n briodol, wrth gyflwyno gwaith y prosiect Dinasyddion Ecolegol, a'i gynrychioli. • Cymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau a chyfarfodydd, digwyddiadau, a gweithdai prosiect a thîm, gan gyfrannu syniadau ar gyfer datblygu, cyflwyno a hyrwyddo prosiectau. • Cyfrannu at gymuned Academaidd y Gyfadran drwy gyflwyniadau neu addysgu mewn fforymau priodol a chymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau, pwyllgorau a byrddau ledled y Gyfadran, ar gais. • Lle bo’n briodol, cefnogi’r gwaith o gyflwyno gweithdai a chyrsiau addysgol. • Cynnal yr xxxx xxxxx ymchwil wrth adlewyrchu arfer gorau o ran moeseg, uniondeb, rheoli data ymchwil, a llywodraethant ymchwil, gan sicrhau cydymffurfiaeth â pholisïau’r brifysgol a thelerau ac amodau cyllid allanol, a safonau’r sector. |
• Sicrhau cydymffurfiaeth gyda gweithdrefnau a pholisïau’r brifysgol mewn perthynas â chaffael a defnyddio offer a chyfleusterau, gan gynnwys polisïau iechyd a diogelwch, wrth weithio gydag adrannau perthnasol ledled FAST.
• Sicrhau bod cyfrinachedd gwybodaeth prosiect sensitif yn cael ei gynnal, drwy brosesau diogelu data prosiect priodol.
• Ymgymryd â thasgau gweinyddol cyffredinol a thasgau perthnasol eraill fel rhan o’r xxx.
• Sicrhau y cyflwynir adroddiadau a thaflenni amser yn brydlon i’r Gweinyddwr.

Principal Accountabilities |
This Post Doctoral Researcher is funded to carry out research tasks within the Ecological Citizens project. The project has three main partners – Wrexham, RCA and York Universy as well as a network of partners listed in the bid and as the project grows. The postdoctoral researcher (PDRA) will have a keen and personal interest in furthering ways in which arts and science collaborative projects can be deployed to encourage sustainable and ecological citizenship and supporting the developing Ecological Citizens network. Experience and skills in Arts and Science collaboration, particularly with regard to nurturing community engagement and promoting public understanding are essential, together with an interest in user centred and participatory practice and developing technologies to support key themes such as food, energy and environment. A keen interest in building networks, creating visual narratives for post-sustainable frameworks and behaviours would also be desirable. The role will include working with and adding to, a broad range of partners to: develop our network of actors; to facilitate strategic focus groups and workshops; engage in data collection and analysis; produce reports and updates; funding calls; and contribute to strategic direction and fulfilment of the EC project. The PDRA will report to and support the Principal Investigator (PI) at WGU. The PDRA will have excellent communication skills which you will use to work effectively with our diverse academic and non-academic partners. |
You will spend time networking with the other post-doctoral researchers in York and London and with our many collaborators, so willingness to travel is important. You will have a passion for learning from others. The successful candidate will work alongside the principal researcher, co- investigators, the national team, partners, and other roles within the project. The project is design-led but an active interest in; the natural world, materials, technology and the digital economy would be beneficial. Technological prototyping and experience of designing ubiquitous computing, is desirable.
Key Tasks |
The primary responsibilities of this post will be: • To undertake high-quality, rigorous research and where relevant, collaborative research projects which lead to robust research outcomes. • To develop personal research objectives and interests that align closely with wider project plans. • In collaboration with team members, to manage any awards won, ensuring execution of proposed research, efficient management of resources, and effective delivery of research outcomes and impacts. • To work with academic, industry and third sector partners as appropriate on collaborative research and knowledge exchange projects. • To support engagement with any sponsor companies, undertaking collaborative research projects and contributing to working relationships to maintain a productive partnership. • To produce and disseminate research outputs that are effectively shared with the world through appropriate channels (for example books, peer-reviewed journals, conferences) to the discipline. • To produce research outputs. These outputs may be suitable for submission to the national Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise, with a quality of at least 3* as per the REF definition. • To support communication of research outcomes to a wide variety of audiences, including through public engagement, tailoring content, and style to a broad range of specialist and non-specialist audiences. • To participate in relevant academic, industry, government, and policy networks as appropriate, presenting the work of, and representing the EC project. • To participate in project and team meetings and activities, events, and workshops, contributing ideas for development, delivery, and promotion of projects. • To contribute to the Faculty Academic community through presentations or teaching in appropriate forums and participation in faculty-wide activities, committees and boards as requested. • Where appropriate, to support the delivery of education courses and workshops. • To conduct all research reflecting best practice in ethics, integrity, research data management, and research governance, ensuring compliance with university policies and external funding terms and conditions and sector standards. |
• To ensure compliance with university processes and procedures in relation to procurement and use of equipment and facilities, including health and safety policies, working with relevant departments across FAST.
• To ensure confidentiality of sensitive project information is maintained, through appropriate project data protection.
• To undertake general administrative and other tasks relevant as part of the team.
• Ensure that reports and timesheets are submitted in time to the Administrator.
• To undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post.
• To be committed to your own development and that of your staff (where appropriate) through the effective use of the University’s Effective Contribution Scheme.

General Duties |
