Technician for electronics and ITF operation (Ref. TC-ITF-18)
Context
The European Gravitational Observatory (EGO) is a French-Italian consortium founded by INFN and CNRS to xxxxxx European collaboration in gravitational wave research.
EGO is located in Cascina, near Pisa –Italy, and hosts and operates the gravitational wave detector Virgo, a 3 km-long laser interferometer (ITF). Xxxxx and the two LIGO ITFs in the US are the most sensitive gravitational-wave detecting instruments in the world.
The Virgo project involves the collaboration of about 20 laboratories with more than 250 scientists, engineers and technicians in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary and Spain.
Assignment
The selected candidate will work as a technician in the Electronics team of the EGO ITF Technology Department and, under the guidance of senior engineering staff, she/he mainly will:
- populate custom-designed electronic boards;
- assemble units hosting one or more boards and associated cabling;
- follow and maintain engineering documentation of units and systems, including operating procedures;
- prepare and install custom cabling;
During ITF commissioning periods or during data-taking periods, the selected candidate will be required to work in shifts in the Control Room (including night and weekend shifts whenever needed) as a technician in the Operators team of the EGO ITF Technology Department. In this capacity, the candidate will need to:
- keep the ITF in the needed configuration, according to the on-going scientific activity following established procedures and safety rules;
- provide support to the scientific crew working in the Control Room;
- perform routine operations as well as basic troubleshooting;
- check the correct functioning of the ITF by means of the appropriate monitoring systems;
- promptly recognize sub-system problems and undertake a first-level intervention and, in the case of more complex problems contact the relevant expert.
Essential required qualifications and experience
- High-school qualification in Electronics or an equivalent educational level, with at least 3 years of professional experience.
- Ability to comprehend technical information, manuals, reports, as well as to prepare logbook entries, reports, etc.
- Versatility and ability to act as an effective team player adapting to ever-changing conditions.
- Capacity to communicate efficiently with colleagues from different European countries and a strong sense of team spirit.
- Good knowledge of English.
Desired qualifications and experience
One or more of the following will be an asset:
- experience with CAD tools (for electronics, and possibly mechanical, design);
- experience in manual soldering of high-reliability electrical connections;
- experience in basic troubleshooting of electronics devices;
- hands-on, practical approach to electronics;
- basic knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating systems ;
- working knowledge of Italian.

Zonneweelde, a family holiday park, located in Nieuwvliet-Bad (The Netherlands), will open in April 2019 a new center building with an Italian restaurant. Therefore, we are looking for motivated and professional Pizzaiolos who come from Italy.
We would like to welcome 2 Pizzaiolos, so two people who can carry out pizzaiolo activities. However, it is also possible to come as couple of whom one person will work as Xxxxxxxxx and the other will do another kind of work within our company. Think about kitchen work, serving food and drinks, doing the dishes or cleaning (in the kitchen, restaurant or rental accommodations) etc. We are open to possibilities. If you see any possibilities to do another kind of work, please let us know. Moreover, we can arrange accommodation.
Job description :
In April 2019, our company will open a new center building with an Italian restaurant, that offers authentic Italian wood-fired pizza’s, anti-pastis, salads and dolci. Our mission is to bring tasty meals, made with fresh and quality products, on the guests' tables.
We have opted for an open kitchen so that guests can see how the dishes are prepared. With this we would like to respond to the guest’ experience in an Italian way. For this reason, you as Pizzaiolo will respond to this experience. Moreover, besides making dough, cooking and preparing meals, there is space to think about creating (new) recipes, which means that you can introduce recipes yourself.
Requirements:

The role of Supply Chain Planner & Analyst is a role at a company in the south of Limburg, The Netherlands. You will work closely with functions such as Sales, Marketing, Global Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations across the globe. This role reports to the Supply Chain Director EMEA.
You will provide advanced support in the coordination of product availability to meet customer requirements in the EMEA region, in line with the business Supply Chain strategies and processes. In order to achieve the agreed service levels at optimized inventory, you will work with Sales and Marketing in the various countries to provide input to Demand Planning. Analysis and forecasting based on historical
data, monitoring of inventory levels and problem solving are key elements.
You will provide support in the analysis if the Supply Chain set up in the EMEA region is in line with the Global and Regional Supply Chain strategies. In order to achieve the optimum supply chain, you will analyse current supply chain set up, identify improvement opportunities, analyse impact and build business cases. You will also be part of implementation teams of improvement or other projects. You will work closely with functions and stakeholders such as Global Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Operations and Suppliers across the globe.
Essential dutties and responsibilities
- Develop and summarize forecasts of anticipated demand using historical data, sales trends, business plans, service forecasts, sales and marketing forecasts and customer projections;
- Provide leadership for the management of inventories and maintain total inventory dollar investments within established guidelines;
- Communicate timely and current information regarding material availability;
- Work with Procurement to have purchase orders issued, ensure that proper internal documentation (requisitions/approvals) are provided;
- Participate in providing policies and procedures to support production and inventory planning functions;
- Provide leadership for the cycle count and physical inventory program. Maintain the accuracy if inventories, including Depot Service and trunk stock held by each Field Service Engineer;
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste and ways to reduce/eliminate that waste, identify improvement opportunities;
- Process design and implementation, project management;
- Create and maintain KPI and other Supply Chain reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in the area of Supply Chain Management, Logistics and/or Industrial Engineering & Management Science;
- 2-5 years experience in a similar role (Supply Planner and/or Logistics Engineer) and in an international environment;
- Computer literacy: MS Office, strong Excel skills, experience with ERP (preferably SAP);
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work well within cross-functional team environments;
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on attitude;
- Analytical and problem solving skills;
- Being able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
- Project Management skills;
