• Management of a two-year feasibility study for the implementation of the Sino-Italian Innovation Base-Camp (SIIB-C) in Chongqing. The SIIB-C is a trilateral cooperation project signed by Sant'Xxxx School, Chongqing University and the Municipality of Chongqing for the establishment of a Sino-Italian industrial park in southwest China. Within the framework of the SIIB-C, I was in charge of different projects ranging from a Laboratory on AI, VE & AR to ‘Zero’ energy building and luxury design.
• Together with the Galilei team, successfully planned and carried out the Netval Mission to China - Technology Transfer Tour in Beijing,
Shanghai & Chongqing. The Tour gave an overview of the context of Chinese technology transfer in intellectual property rights, trademarks and patents, contract models and licensing. The thirty participants from Italian leading universities, research centres and public institutions enjoyed numerous networking occasions with possible local partners, joint research centres, technology transfer platforms, incubation centres, hi-tech companies as well as investment funds. At the end of the tour, delegates had a clearer idea about the structural framework and technology transfer procedure in China, thanks to the help provided by experienced stakeholders. The Tour gave also a detailed background on science, technology and innovation business of Italian and European enterprises in China.
• Organization of seminars on contemporary China engaging government institutions, business actors and academia;
• Implementation of academic cooperation between Italian leading research institutes and Chongqing University;
• Planning of the first edition of ‘China Issues,’ an academic course currently held at Sant’Xxxx School and focusing on the rise of China on the world stage from different perspectives;
• General editor of the weekly newsletters and media outlook.
