… being part of a team of 20 data scientist and over 100 analysts that helps Rabobank and its clients to keep ahead of market developments in a rapidly changing world. Rabobank has a broad client base in the Netherlands and internationally serves clients in the global food and agricultural supply chain. As RaboResearch we provide insights in ‘how to sustainably grow a better world together’.
Making a difference
To do market analyses and modelling efficiently Rabobank has developed a data lake in which data from external sources is ingested. Based on this external, and in the future internal, data dashboards and models are created and shared with RaboResearch analysts and other stakeholders. This data layer and modeling environments run in a Microsoft Azure environment.
To further improve the development of this data layer, data operations, modeling way-of-working and distribution of our data and models we are looking for a cloud engineer with the following capabilities:
Required capabilities
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure ETL tools and hands-on experience of configuring Azure ETL tools (ADF, Databricks, function app, ADLS Gen 2)
• Knowledge and hands-on in Python and Pyspark as Python is our programming language on top of Azure
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience - scripting and automation via AZ CLI/PowerShell, Bash, Bicep, JSON templates, …
• Knowledge or experience with CI/CD tools in Azure DevOps
• Sufficient English skills, both verbally and in writing

Rabobank is a financial services provider for more than 8.5 million customers in 40 countries. Rabobank aim to contribute to real with our 'Growing a better world together'. We do so in countless ways, such as:
• Thanks to an agreement with the UN World Food Programme, we facilitate more purchasing of agricultural products from small farmers in Rwanda, Tanzania and Zambia. We aim to expand this platform to include one and a half million farmers in 25 countries by 2030.
• Development of the Carbon Bank in which we aims to transform vital sustainability efforts into commercially viable projects.
• The Broad Welfare Indicator, developed by RaboResearch and the University of Utrecht, which measures how the local community is doing and creates an ongoing dialogue between Rabobank and regional stakeholders.
• The Data4Food program, which sources and combines data across the global F&A chain to develop new services for our clients.
With Each other
At RaboResearch we deliver relevant and distinctive insights for the bank and its clients. The different RaboResearch departments cover international food and agribusiness sectors, global financial markets and the economies relevant to Rabobank, most importantly the Netherlands, US, Brazil and Australia. Our forecasts and scenarios are used in key risk processes of the bank as well as for helping clients to make decisions in uncertain times. Our thematic research provides a deep understanding of the changes which the bank and its clients face. To understand where the value is we need insights in the impact and value of our work.
