Airline Travel coach class air travel with rates nearest to the State contract rate. All airline travel shall be booked no less than 7 days in advance when possible. Reimbursement for air travel booked within 7 days of departure, without the prior approval of the PM/RCM, may be limited. A sales receipt and a boarding pass must be provided for each flight in order to receive reimbursement.

Airline Travel. During the Employment Period, American shall provide or cause to provide to the Executive, the Executive's Spouse, the Executive's Parents and the Executive's Eligible Children the same travel privileges accorded to American's level 8 employees (the "Airline Travel Benefits").
Airline Travel. The Executive shall be entitled to and the Company shall arrange and pay for business class air travel (or first class for flights that offer only two (2) classes of service) for flights in excess of two (2) hours.

The Executive and the Executive's Spouse shall be entitled to Airline Travel and Club Benefits for their respective lifetimes upon the first to occur of the following: (a) the Change of Control Date, (b) the third anniversary of the Effective Date, or (c) the Executive's employment is terminated by the Company (other than for Cause) or by the Executive for Good Reason. The Executive's Parents shall be entitled to Airline Travel Benefits for their respective lifetimes if and when the Executive (or the Executive's Spouse in the case of the Executive's death) becomes entitled to the benefits described in the immediately preceding sentence. An Eligible Child shall be entitled to Airline Travel Benefits for so long as: (x) he or she shall remain an Eligible Child and (y) except in the case of the Executive's death, the Executive shall remain eligible for Airline Travel Benefits. The post- Employment Period Airline Travel and Club Benefits described in the preceding sentences shall be provided on the most favored terms, practices and conditions from time to time provided or offered by the Company, its affiliates, and successors to its or their active and retired vice presidents and their families (it is understood that in all cases that such benefits shall equal or exceed the priority of the highest class of space-available travel in all classes of service on the Travel Network at no charge to the Executive).
Airline Travel. Using the various airline apps and such sites as Kayak, Travelocity, CxxxxXxxxxxx.xxx, Priceline, etc. the traveler should book an economy ticket for domestic travel that generally has the lowest available fare for the time, date and departing and arriving airports. Non-stop and one-stop flights are the preferred flights for both making the travelers time more efficient and minimizing travel time away from home. There are occasions when the traveler knows that the odds are higher that there could be schedule changes where it might make sense to purchase a flexible fare economy ticket rather than a non-refundable ticket with change fees.
Airline Travel. 1. Airline tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-CHANGEABLE unless permitted by the terms of the fare and are subject to airline rules, penalties, and fare difference. Airline Travel. LAAC Section 2.242.3(a) states that, except in case of official necessity, air travel expenses are allowable only for the lowest regular fare available for regularly scheduled airlines for the date and time selected. It further states that claims for reimbursement of higher fare or extra charges for transportation by scheduled airlines are allowable only if certified by the Department Head that he or she has reviewed and concurs with the facts constituting the official necessity. Coach or economy class fare is presumed to be the lowest regular fare available for regularly scheduled airlines. Travelers are required to only incur expenses that a reasonable and prudent person would incur if traveling on personal business and, therefore should consider the least expensive class of travel that meets their needs. Travelers are expected to make reservations as far in advance as possible to avoid paying higher fares. Purchase of a refundable ticket, which is usually more expensive than a nonrefundable ticket, should be pre-approved by Department Head. The benefit of booking a non-refundable ticket should be weighed against the risk of changes in travel plans before purchasing the ticket. While the determination of “official necessity” falls under the purview of Department Heads, below are guidelines in determining whether the cost of business-class accommodations is “reasonable”. The guidelines are consistent with federal guidelines and best practices of other government entities. Use of any of the reasons below should be documented and noted as exceptions to the Travel Policy on the GAETL and PES documents. • When use of other than coach-class is necessary to accommodate a medical necessity. A written certification of the medical necessity and a recommended suitable class of transportation from a competent medical authority must be submitted. • When exceptional security circumstances require other than coach-class accommodations. • Where the origin and/or destination are outside the Continental United States and the scheduled flight time, including non-overnight stopovers (e.g., layovers) and change of planes, is in excess of 14 hours; and the Traveler is required to report to duty the following day or sooner.
