NETWORK INTERCONNECTION METHODS. 64.1 This Section sets forth the terms and conditions for Network Interconnection Methods (NIMs) provided between CenturyLink and CLEC for the Interconnection Facilities established between the Parties’ networks. Additionally, this Section describes the physical architecture for the Interconnection of the Parties’ facilities and equipment required for the transmission and routing of Local Traffic, ISP-Bound Traffic, IntraLATA LEC Toll Traffic, VoIP-PSTN Traffic, Transit Traffic and Jointly Provided Switched Access Service Traffic.

NETWORK INTERCONNECTION METHODS. 2.1 Upon request by MCIm, AT&T ILLINOIS shall provide interconnection for the facilities and equipment of MCIm with AT&T ILLINOIS’ network for the transmission and routing of Telephone Exchange Service and Exchange Access at any Technically Feasible POI inside the geographical areas in which AT&T ILLINOIS is the Incumbent LEC and within AT&T ILLINOIS' network. (NIMs) include, but are not limited to, Physical Collocation Interconnection; Leased Facilities Interconnection; Fiber Meet Interconnection; and other methods as mutually agreed to by the Parties. NETWORK INTERCONNECTION METHODS. 2.1 Upon request by MCIm, SBC ILLINOIS shall provide interconnection for the facilities and equipment of MCIm with SBC ILLINOIS’ network for the transmission and routing of Telephone Exchange Service and Exchange Access at any Technically Feasible POI inside the geographical areas in which SBC ILLINOIS is the Incumbent LEC and within SBC ILLINOIS' network. The interconnection must be at least equal in quality to that provided by SBC ILLINOIS to itself or to any subsidiary, Affiliate, or any Third Party to which SBC ILLINOIS provides Interconnection. The Interconnection must be at least equal in quality to that provided by Verizon to itself, any Verizon subsidiary, Verizon Affiliate, or any third party to which Verizon provides interconnection. Verizon shall provide interconnection on rates, terms and conditions that are just, reasonable and Non-Discriminatory in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement and the requirements of the Act. Verizon shall provide interconnection at any Technically Feasible point, by any Technically Feasible means, including, but not limited to, a Fiber Meet, at one or more locations in each LATA in which MCIm originates local, intraLATA toll, or Meet Point Switched Access traffic and interconnects with Verizon. If MCIm determines to establish new, or change existing, interconnection arrangements with Verizon, it will provide written notice of the need to establish or change such interconnection with Verizon. MCIm will designate the Point or Points of Interconnection and determine the method or methods by which the Parties interconnect. MCIm will determine the appropriate sizing for interconnection facilities based on mutual forecasts. MCIm will designate Points of Interconnection (POI) demarcating the Parties' networks for purposes of maintenance and provisioning. Verizon will be responsible for engineering and maintaining its network on its side of the POI.
