Ordinary Overtime. For the week’s first five working days, a 50% supplement shall be paid for work after ordinary working hours until 2100 hours. After 2100 hour a 100% supplement will be paid. Employees who are instructed to report to work overtime shall be paid for two hours, irrespective of whether the overtime work was performed in less time. This does not apply when overtime is worked as a continuation of ordinary working hours.

Ordinary Overtime. (Monday to Friday). All time worked in excess of the ordinary hours of work, the span of hours (as established under Clause 4.1.1, and beyond the flexible work hours arrangement detailed in 4.1.2, 4.1.3, 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 hereof, shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half (T½) for the first 2 hours and double time (T2) thereafter.
Ordinary Overtime. Full-time Employees will be paid at their straight rate for the normally scheduled workday and for the first (1st) hour after the end of their normally scheduled work day. After the first (1st) additional hour on a single day or after 40 hours in a week, the Employee will be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times his/her regular straight- time hourly rate.
Ordinary Overtime. Ordinary Overtime is defined as a situation when an employee is asked to stay late or report to work early the following day in order to complete a specific assignment that the individual was previously engaged in performing prior to the end of the employee’s regular work day. Ordinary Overtime is not offered on a rotational basis, based on seniority.
Ordinary Overtime. 30.1 Ordinary overtime occurs when an employee is authorised to perform extra duty outside their normal hours and has some discretion as to when they perform that extra duty. The timing should be agreed prior to the overtime being worked.

  • Voluntary Overtime In the event that the Employer’s reasonable effort to avoid overtime is not successful, and the Employer has knowledge of the overtime requirement at least three (3) hours in advance, the Employer will first offer the overtime work, on a seniority basis, to qualified employees who have indicated in writing a willingness to work overtime. It is understood that if there is no availability form on file for an employee, the Employer has no obligation to contact that employee to work additional hours. If the Employer has knowledge of the overtime requirement less than three (3) hours in advance, the Employer’s obligation will be limited to offering the overtime work in order of seniority to qualified employees on duty in the affected unit or classification. The Employer will make a reasonable effort to arrange for voluntary sharing between employees of the overtime requirement prior to invoking mandatory overtime. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Employer retains the right to select a less senior employee whose overtime rate will be at time and one-half, if the more senior employee’s overtime rate for any of the overtime hours to be worked will be at double- time, or to replace an employee at the point that he or she would be working on less than ten (10) hours’ rest on the employee’s next scheduled shift.

  • Weekly Overtime An Employee required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first eight (8) hours of work in excess of the forty (40) hours and double time thereafter.

  • Mandatory Overtime Mandatory overtime shall be scheduled 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled event (or as soon as possible after the overtime is known to management.) If there are unforeseen circumstances, the two week requirement will not apply. Where the notice of mandatory overtime is not provided in that time frame, the hours worked will be paid at twice the regular rate. If a member has checked with the Director of Public Safety or designee about a certain date as being a mandatory day, and received a negative answer, that employee shall be waived from any mandatory obligation of the day inquired about. If a staff member has extenuating circumstances occurring on a mandatory overtime day, they may request a release from the mandatory overtime day from the Director of Public Safety, or designee. The employee shall meet with the Director of Public Safety, or designee, to discuss the extenuating circumstance. The Director of Public Safety, or designee, shall respond to the staff member’s request as soon as possible.

  • Daily Overtime All employees shall be paid the applicable overtime rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Holiday Overtime An employee required to work on any of the above-named holidays will be paid holiday pay plus payment for the number of hours worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) his regular straight time rate of pay.

  • Banked Overtime In the event the day in lieu of working the statutory holiday is not provided as stipulated in 8.01.04, this portion may also be banked.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • HOURS AND OVERTIME 3:1 A workweek is defined as seven (7) consecutive calendar days, from Saturday midnight to Saturday midnight. The basic workweek shall consist of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours each and shall begin Monday and run through Friday, except when a job other than for a public utility is to be done on Saturday, then the Company may assign another day as a non-workday and Saturdays becomes a workday in the basic workweek. An extended workweek shall begin at starting time Monday and continue until the next Monday starting time. The regular hours of work for all employees shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with an unpaid meal period of thirty (30) minutes which normally will be from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. provided, however, that the regular lunch period may be advance or delayed an hour or less when work must necessarily be performed during the regular lunch period. Such a change in the lunch period shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime. The regular hours of work may be changed by the Company at the request or direction of the public utility or governmental authorities, and by mutual agreement between the Company and the Union. The Company may change the start times by 30 minutes in either direction of the regular start time to meet the operational need without union approval. Such a change in the regular hours of work shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime.
